Samsung said to release the Galaxy S5 in January

10 October, 2013
The earlier than usual release of the S5 might be a result of unsatisfactory Galaxy S4 sales.

Samsung u listening? ur Exynos chips currently is worse than snapdragons, and hey here's a winning formula. keep the expandable storage and replacable battery, get rid of the boring cheap plastic oriented design. dont increase the size of the phone and make touchwiz look more elegant (the functionality is good already but ur menu reminds me of mario world in N64!). ur welcome. go get it sammy

The GS5 should mark the next Samsung mobile evolution. A new design, new body material, new ground breaking processor (unlike the iphone's 64big gimmick) and some new innovations in smartphone land such as how the USB 3.0 and 4K vid rec was to the Note 3. This should be very exciting. The sooner, the better. But it won't halt my Note 3 from coming, though.

Samsung's big bosses are lost in the darkness, if they think that a 64-bit 8-core chipset and 3gb of ram are the things that matter to most consumers.
The wind has changed. During the last 3 years, since the GS2, performance improvements were important as phones were bought mainly by geeks/early adopters and users who just asked which was the best phone.
But now that phones are powerful enough, both geeks and everyday users are looking for something different from the latest fastest processor. They're looking for original designs, good materials, interesting ideas like stereo front speakers, weatherproof phones, innovative cameras (not just with more megapixels, but with optical stabilization ect), ideas like the always-on voice commands or screen notifications of the Moto X... all things that Samsung cannot deliver.
They're probably suffering because until phones like HTC One, Sony Z1, LG G2, Moto X and the upcoming Nexus 5 there was only one flagship... the Galaxy S2/S3/S4. But now many users have finally discovered that thare are other manufacturers in the Android world, and many of them are, if not better, at least different and more original than Samsung.

yeah yeah, make one with much bigger flexible 3D screen, put tetra-quad core mega chipset with 8 GB of RAM, 60 MP NASA tech camera, and then, maybe, kids will be happy, and the sales will grow. But just a little bit.

Samsung just needs to change their packaging. Lose the flimsy plastic and that cheap button in the middle. KEEP YOUR MEMORY CARD SLOT!

As much as I'm a fan of Samsung the replicating needs to stop its not fun anymore, make improvements to the build quality and replace the bloatware right now I have to be using a WP launcher on my Note 2
