      Judging from the tests A19 Pro in Air is on par with basic A19 from vanilla iPhone 17 so what's the point of that Pro version lol

          I like the minimalist look...as long as the battery lasts a long time, but I just can't ever see myself using any Apple products! YMMV

              ianmod, 19 Sep 2025actually one more lens could be added but...🤑I wish they would, but the way they engineered the phone with the whole phone electronics being in that middle part of the camera plateau, they will need to redesign the whole thing if they wanted to put a second camera setup.

                The general consensus so far:
                - Battery life is okay, not as bad as we're afraid of, but not that great either.
                - Performance is limited by thermal, and closer to the regular A19 on the regular iPhone 17 than the A19 Pro on the iPhone 17 Pro.
                - The single camera is good, but clearly less versatile than having multiple cameras.
                - Single speaker sucks

                I can kinda okay-ish about the single camera setup, but using the earpiece as a single speaker is just bad. Either Apple has to improve the earpiece part they use, or figure out how to put a stereo speaker setup for the next Air.

Samsung is practically non existent in China and Infinix and Tecno are not sold in China at all. They are all heavily influenced by Apple though. Immediately after the Apple launch event Lu Weibing was on Weibo asking Xiaomi fans if they wanted a Xiaomi light and thin model like the iPhone 17 Air

                              Here, the same Indians and a few Chinese people are criticizing a product whose stores are packed with people right now. This phone will outsell your favorite Chinese brand, but by millions, while your Chinese brand will only sell a few kilometers. If you don't like something, don't buy it, with so much variety out there.

                                if one uses it without a case looks like the hardware inside can get damaged if the impact is near the camera bump

                                  Apple should start spreading rumours that it's making a phone shaped like a banana, then sit back as other brands fight to release their version first.
