xPandamon, 20 Sep 2025Aaaand there goes GSMArena again, making comparisons to iOS... moreiOS 26 has been the first time I was interested in iOS since I switched to Android 5. Personally did not like the look of Android ever since Android 12 and has been losing freedom since Android 9.

Samsung is gradually taking out the really cool options in Android with recent One UI updates, making their Android experience feel limited like that on a bloody iOS.

"gets a drop shadow of its own, a look which seems inspired by iOS 26"

Didn't know Apple invented drop shadows..

"Settings menu has more compact items without subtitles"

They should keep the subtitles, there's a reason everyone stole this idea for their settings apps - they give you a good idea of what's inside each category.

But new major updates can improve your phone as well. And add new cool features. Update it or not you will most likely buy a new phone every five years anyway.

[deleted post]Let me guess, you would shag an apple phone if you could.

Aaaand there goes GSMArena again, making comparisons to iOS that are not needed nor warranted. God forbid, brands that aren't Apple try to make their UIs look less flat. How dare they. Atleast compared to iOS 26, these kind of changes improve the look without hurting usability. Even on release, iOS 26 looks absolutely awful

[deleted post]Still saying this in 2025

It seems you want android so bad

After 3.1 it became more and more childish bloat with smooth animations.

For me, i like more Samsung's Touchwiz UI before than their OneUI today.
