Plus, many features that they have, which are free on WhatsApp, and others, are paid on Telegram.

Not saying that I trust META, but Telegram isn't all that great either. #JustSaying

Brownia7, 24 Sep 2025yet nobody uses it in their everyday basis lolAha, the classic "If I’m not using, it’s safe to assume no one else is either." 😌
As of March 2025, Telegram had over 1 billion monthly active users.

Like for me, hardly anyone uses iMessage. 😅

YoloBS, 24 Sep 2025How WhatsApp gonna translate the message without reading it ? You got it.
They are just making up another excuse for grabbing user data.

Is it better than the one they have in Facebook?

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2025Meta brought end to end encryption to billions of people... moreI'm not sure if I'm should pity you or laugh and you really believing the E2E (end to end encryption) on WhatsApp? Well, there's no reason to argue with people who is fed with E2E bullshit or doesn't even know how E2E works. Oh boy here we go again trying to explain the simplest way to normies.

End to end encryption is about the method of secure transmission of data from one end to the other end. The data you transmit is scrambled and encrypted with strong security (method) let say password. So, when some hacker manage to intercept the data transmitted. The hacker won't be able to see the data (text, message) as the data is already scrambled. Let say, a person (A) send text to (B) the data is scrambled the moment it leave (A) device (app in this case WhatsApp) and will go through the internet and then reach the WhatsApp server and then go through the internet again and then reach the (B) person device (WhatsApp) and it arrived safely. But, during the initial writing and clicking sent button, the app (WhatsApp) still able to read your messages (text) and collect it for whatever reason Facebook Meta told you (hence you have to agree to the terms and conditions of using WhatsApp) later one when you're sleep and not using your phone during that time. Same goes with the person (B) when he/she received the message (A) send, the device (app WhatsApp) will read it and collect it and send it to Facebook Meta. Not to forget about the new features like AI and Auto translation.

Damn, I hope you people don't get bored with my explanation and good luck with your E2E (End to End Encryption) on WhatsApp 😎 and as for Signal, Signal is an open source and everyone can verify the legit of it. Talking about the server load on Signal, Signal definitely can handle billions of people texting everyday.

I can already immagine the scam messages that we are going to recieve in the near future with this function. Obviously for my language it should be fine cause romanian is impossible to corectly translate in to or from to most languages without some weird word orders and with broken expresions...but for languages that have the same phrase order as in english it will be much easier for scammers to get better at...well...scamming.
