But if we talk about camera, then xiaomi has a lot of character, completely different aproach of photography than iphone/pixel, gives more natural images with less oversharpening and extreme fine details.
For my liking iphone/pixel images are at best just average, tons of oversharpening, old smeary denoising technique, clinical look.

Xiaomi can make their own original beautiful software and they can actually beat Apple and Samsung but their software and their recent naming scheme is a huge turn off.

I think that it's nice to have a generation with multiple small options that actually have reason to exist, and not that one matters and the other just exists for no real reason.
The pro has better cameras and a rear screen, and the vanilla has the better battery life, but they do have a lot of similarities, and I appreciate that.

6'3 flagship is great.
I also love a plastic version of that , like I know what I say is just fantasy or not great for most
But I like plastic flagship. Light , feels cheap but it goes deep.
Like powerful specs. Reminds me of 2017 mid rangers or upper budgets

My only problem is that there's no compact option, and also I just don't feel like my data would be safe on this phone, from Google or from Xiaomi.
And I know that compact phones and data privacy are pretty much dead, but we can hope to see them return, right?

That ultrawide does not seem good. The 5x is too long, apple did it best at 4x.
The back screen is mostly gimick. Should have invested in the cameras more than this useless feature.

I th... moreit's complicated, the reasoning is simple they want to convert iPhone users in china but why? 50% of their car users and it device users are on iPhone, they want to basically convert their user base from iOS to Android as easy as possible. If you did it different to apple then it would harder for iOS to switch.
Hence the heavy emphasis on compatibility with iOS. all kinds of connectivity changes that iPad and Mac can unlock xiaomi phones. it's not just a "copy" without any purpose. it is their ulterior motive. and ngl the comparison on bilibili xiaomi 17 pro looks much nicer than the new iPhone.

I love how people get triggered by the product names.
I think that the people of Xiaomi thought: hey, i'm the one allowed to copy, not apple!
and therefore, they copy EVERYTHING apple did on the 17 to give an example (as the mafia does)
p.s. for those that don't know, the Iphone 17 pro/pro max looks like a copy of a xiaomi mi 11 ultra of 2021!

MHM, 28 Sep 2025The naming scheme alone is just so cringe. This is the TEMU... moreI like that their software is similiar to iOS, after 5+ years of using iOS it was really smooth and seamless transition from ip15 pro to x15u.
My experience is mostly very positive, camera quality is outstanding. Probably only downside is slighty dissapointing battery and inconsistent skin tones for portraits, everything else feels better than my previous iphone.
