Samsung might launch the Galaxy S26+ after all

02 October 2025
The Galaxy S25 Edge is the one to thank (or blame, depending on your perspective).

I believe that Samsung's S25 Edge and Apple's iPhone Air are doomed from the very beginning.

"And that's because the Galaxy S25 Edge's sales are disappointing."

Why I'm not surprised by that.

Ysf, 04 Oct 2025Edge price is issue and nothing extra ordinary It's not really the price, with those specs it won't be far from its current price range, the thing is no ones wants a thinner smartphone sacrificing cameras and battery, they won't sell well until they make the extra thin layout without sacrificing what smartphones alrrady have

WhoCaresTM, 02 Oct 2025Honestly the S25 Edge is the best Samsung phone I've e... moreAgree, it has something special by being that slim and I could not believe until I used one for a week. Still I had to return it because there are better options out there even from Samsung.
Still battery surprisingly good, construction premium and cameras quite nice the combo that they put on it! I would say give it a try if you have the chance and after that speak/contradict others. Peace!

Give 16gb ram plus 1tb storage. And 65w charging at least. Only snapdragon for all regions. Camera is ok for me but improve it as well.

Aparently the S26 PRO is in fact the Plus version.

I mean the lineup will come like this:
                        - S26 (SD and Exynos, but more limited the former)
                        - S26 PRO (aka Plus, SD and Exynos, having 200 MP camera)
                        - S26 Edge (SD only, having 200 MP camera)
                        - S26 Ultra (SD and Exynos, but more limited the latter, having best cameras)

Duh. Samsung is cheap and lazy. I didn't buy the S25 series because you didn't use Qi2 magnets for one. No Si battery tech on the thin phone. You're not innovating but you ponder poor sales....

It's not that hard to understand. Then you created the edge because of the poor selling plus model, only to contradict yourself😂.

Ridiculous that flop edge has 200mp main cam, but S26 "PROOO" will stick to midrange cam setup again. Presumably S26+ will be the same.

I see only one problem with the Edge. Because it mimics the Ultra in appearance, including the display and flat frame, it is simply not as comfortable to hold as the rounded iPhone Air. Moreover, the Air may just be Apple's preparation for a foldable iPhone, so we may not have to wait for the next generation. And if we do, it may not come out every year. But if Samsung renews the S26+, how much will it cost? The S25+ to S21+ were priced at $999, while the base model was $799. However, the S26 "Pro" is expected to cost $999, while the Edge was supposed to cost $1,199 and the Ultra sells for $1,399. Well, let's see what our comrades in Korea come up with.

What they really need to do is to give the cameras of the ultra's to the plus, they can call it pro or whatever, not everyone needs a 6.9 '' phone, but everyone needs a good camera, my wife is small person and really can not use the ultra, I got her the 23+ and then 25 + good sized phones but the cameras are really pathetic

Why doesn't Samsung release the S26 Edge with a SiC battery? It doesn't make sense that its killing sales by avoiding it.

magnaroader, 02 Oct 2025If they want to continue selling the Edge series, maybe low... moreThey should call call it the SE series, as in Slim Edition, that would make a lot more sense, than the Edge naming, but it should be priced under the base S series model.

"...the Galaxy S26+ could see the light of day after all. And that's because the Galaxy S25 Edge's sales are disappointing."

Woah, shocking. Has somebody opened their eyes at Samsung?

If they want to continue selling the Edge series, maybe lower the price of the model? It's already a compromised device with less cameras and less battery, might as well slap on older processors on it and call it the new "FE" series?
