      This is just a RUMOR (not confirmed nor denied) that Xbox (the hardware) is getting cancelled. Again RUMOR (not confirmed nor denied).
      But what is NOT a rumor, another round of layoffs in Q1 2026.

      So that's:
      1. Unjustified Price Increase (not because of tariff or inflation)
      2. Ads in Game Pass / Cloud Gaming (free tier for now, but IT WILL creep up to the paid tier)
      3. Possible Xbox Hardware Cancellation (just like Sega, going software)

      And that is on top of windows updates (in Win11) nuking PC's.

            For gaming yeah i dont understand to get a Apple computer when for the same money you get like super high end when you build it on your own for windows. Dont even need to pick parts by price and have liquid cooling for CPU and GPU

              I can buy a computer that have used parts with some new parts like CPU, storage and PSU as a platform build on Ryzen 5 3600 that have 1TB m.2 SSD and 16GB DDR4 and RTX 2060 for under 400 euro and it be way better hardware then in the 600 euro console and it also have new liquid cooling for CPU in it.

              For 1200 euro i can buy a pc with Ryzen 7 and RTX 3080 with 32GB DDR4 and 1TB m.2 SSD in it too. And that be like really good gaming computer that be still good after 10 years of use.

              Even the lower cost subscription you still need to buy games and the games are more expensive on console then they are on PC as i can't go to a site like kinguin.net and buy console games there to then enter redeem code on console or something.

              My present PC i build 12-13 years ago on i5 4570, 250GB SSD, GTX 760 that year later i change it to GTX 970 and at first had 8GB DDR3 and now have 16GB DDR3 and i can still play modern games with my 1080p screen and on a lot still get 60fps. Like Forza Horizon 5 is running around 40-50fps No visual lag that gets annoying or anything. And it's not even a simple game so it's not a stretch on that computer last for 10 plus years. Especially cause games are hold back cause of consoles long term being out before new generation comes with upgraded hardware and it all cost me under 1000 euro even after i change the GPU cause i sold my old GPU and got money gifted for birthday or for xmas so i added only like 50-100 euro to get GTX 970 while with the GTX760 the pc was a bit under 900 euro

                          I am cancelling Gamepass completely. My controller broke for my xbox and the replacement is expensive. Anyway gamepass is getting too expensive. Cloud gaming sucks.

Every game, you name it, works better on Microsoft platforms, and a huge amount don't work on Mac at all. Hack Linux has waaaaaay better chances to step up in the gaming world, profiting from the same unlimited hardware components as Microsoft does. Also, real gamers with a brain will never invest in a company like Apple. While Microsoft is not the most philanthropic company in existence, building a gaming PC is nowhere near as frustrating experience as building a custom gaming Mac. Buying a subpar Mac from Apple? With that money, you could build the ultimate gaming PC and still have some left to invest in a decent sound system.

                            One has to have something not functioning well inside the head to make that choice. Additionally, with the rise of mini PCs in the past couple of years that can play games decently, if not astonishingly well, at less than 1,000 euros, Apple’s position is rendered near zero straight from the get-go. Anyone investing in Apple for gaming is either uninformed or doesn't understand what gaming truly is.

                            For apple to even remotely enter the ROG community, they need to change their mentality, ethics, hardware, and prices. And oh, they won’t do that because, in doing so, they would "betray" their fans who still think Apple offers "premium" hardware, whatever that means. This is not to say there won’t be any die-hard, brainwashed fans swearing that Apple devices are better, but they are most probably not enough for a significant market boost. Still so, as far as i know they actuall, look for a door to ROG, i doubt that anyone will take them seriously... as of now.

                              Sony could launch alternative, maybe even adding heavy discount if you buy their xperia, but well, they are still dreaming.
                              They also miss so much not releasing foldable, could they even...

                                  I might have inclined a bit to much in favor of the PS, but I guess a choice between PC or PS also takes into consideration what kind of games you want to play, and I stated in my last reply, if you plan on working on a PC then it's definitely a better option for you. But in my case, I don't have much time to spend gaming or media so I don't have a reason to buy a 1200€ rig like you stated, and a 600€ PS that can clear my soul of the horrors of current day windows is the right choice for me.

                                  Subscription in my region is just ~50€ for the cheapest yearly plan, as I don't find upgrading to higher tier worth it, so in 5 years I'd spend 850€, and won't be needing to maintain the PS like a PC and will end up cheaper than your proposed 1200€ PC

                                  Also 10 years in kind of a stretch, there will be a time when you will need to upgrade internals or you won't be able to run the modern games of the time - and the same goes for the PS, I will eventually need the newer model ... but at the same time support for the console will likely be just like the current support for the PS4, and will still be able to run new releases on the future PS6.

                                  Also modern games are just mid af, I'd take any indie game over whatever EA's next cashgarb will be

                                    I am mostly surprised Apple haven't made a console yet. Get 30 bucks per month per paypig and they don't get to keep anything. Get it going for a few years and the addiction is cemented, as they no longer own any interesting games.

I dont like these risks
