The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is better than the vivo X200 Ultra at 1x (23mm) zoom because the Oppo uses the main 1"-type sensor, while vivo has to crop from the ultrawide. Even so, the vivo doesn't have a huge advantage at 35mm, despite that being its native focal length, over the Oppo, which has to crop in 1.5x from the main camera. That said, the ultrawide is miles better on the vivo.

That has a last generation flagship chip and the Oneplus has the newly launched snapdragon chip which ia way more expensive so there is no way it could be €599 at launch when phones with a last generation chip are launching at €800. No phone with the latest flagship chip will launch anywhere near €599 this year. It's an unrealistic expectation

Seems like oneplus 12 is last oneplus phone for me.
Cameras are important and they are making both main and telephoto worse.
Or are they going to price it like a flagship killer like 599 euros? Doubt it.

You do understand that you are willingly settling with a compromise, and if one phone has worse camera than another than that is just an even more of a compromise.
