Let me tell you, I have a Realme gt7 pro and I absolutely love it especially the camera. I've tried Vivo x200 pro and Oppo Find x8 Ulta and I stuck with the Realme.

You’ve fallen far, Ricoh. Teaming up with a cheap-ass Temu phone company. Shudder…

Re... moreIf I'm not mistaken, the Realme GT series was their flagship line of affordable phones since the rebranding of the Oppo Real series (yes, that's the origin of the Realme brand). Additionally, it aims to compete with Xiaomi's Mi series and Zhixin (Huawei, Honor, Wiko, TD Tech, Hi Nova)'s Magic and Mate series, which makes sense.

Hang on a minute, isn't Realme a sub-brand of Oppo? Realme could have just borrowed Oppo's Hasselblad collaboration. After all, Oppo can use Realme as a frontline for affordable flagship phones.

Pinpin, 09 Oct 2025Realme GT 8 Pro must have LYT 900 for the best flagship segment.Only Xiaomi will use 1 inch sensors going forward for their ultras. I don't think that's possible even now with latest leaks. 1/1.3 inch sensor for Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

Magic 6/7 Pro was stunning which I imported from Dubai. Honor Magic 8 Pro will be good as well. Realme GT 8 Pro will be better than OnePlus 15/iQOO 15. iQOO lost advantage when they ditched Omnivision sensors. No hope from them now. It will be just performance centric brand going forward. Let's see what it unfolds. Except camera, iQOO 15 will be perfect phone if software experience is good.

I wish there would be a Realme with a K-mount and a full-frame mirrorless sensor. One can only dream.

Why do Chinese phones feel the need to partner with established camera brands? Does it involve any R&D or just a deal to use the brand's name?

Expect their future phones to have a dedicated mode that produces less overprocessed photos compared to their auto counterpart (Just like the Find X series' Master Mode).

Unlike the X100, however, the GR is *actually* pocketable, regardless of what kind of clothes you wear, despite using an equally sized APS-C sensor.
