You dont get the same screen size to benefit from . That is the point of these new slim phones.....bigger, decent screen (like the ultras), but slim and no further weight.

I think it is a pretty nice package for the intended market positioning. With its slim profile and thin and uniform bezels, it will certainly be an attractive device. Meanwhile the rest of the specs, including processor and battery are pretty decent and should suffice for 95% of the people.

But imagine a base S25 be this thin, you would get under 150grams that way.
And have pisspoor battery life.

Isn't the point of the Air to be light? Iphone 16 was 170g, Iphone Air is 165g. This is 170g, it's nice but everything over 150g isn't light tbh.

I remember Evan Blass' leak claiming edge 50 to have sub 6 mm thickness. At 6 mm, its not "impossibly thin" anymore.

Yes, mostly in Moto Edge 60 Pro. Don't know about Fusion. I don't think there will be any lag this iteration because of snapdragon variant across models.
Can't wait to see Ultra.

So basically it's a lot of buzz for 2mm less than my edge 50 ultra , and 300mah more than my edge 50 ultra with android 16 and a Snapdragon 7 gen4 which is worse than my edge 50 ultra....
I was really hoping to at least see 5200mah like most competition is doing right now.
In the end if feels unimpressive, let's wait and see for more details...

Thin phon... more"Unnessessarily thin" phone curse rather.
Most people use a phone case of some kind, so 6mm vs 8mm makes no difference in real life. 8mm is thin enough to not be bulky and provides a better grip than paper-thin 5-6mm phones. Even a 10mm thick phone would be fine as long as it is light and can be held in one hand comfortably.
I haven't seen anyone wishing phones were thinner, ever, in like 20+ years. Yet I've seen plenty of people with small hands "wield" an S24/25/etc Ultra with two hands, because it is too big for one. And drop their phones when they try to use just one hand in a pinch.
So the only reason anyone would want a 5mm phone is for fashion. But the design is nothingburger and the brand is, unlike Apple and Samsung, let's say not luxurious enough to make a statement on its own... So who is this phone for ?

But while I understand and agree with you, other 95% of the users will keep staring blind at mAh.
Sad story, but true.
However let's not praise Motorola here, 5500mAh could have fit easily in this thing at 6mm, but knowing their optimisations, just like Xiaomi it will not save it.
