If it comes with the same image customization as Ricoh GR series, it's instant buy.

I'm wondering if the non-pro variant will have Ricoh co-brand.

Motorola used to, now Motorola needs total revamp on their UI along side bug fixes. Their ultra series was damn good, but they have not been good with updates, off late. Waiting for Moto Edge 70 Ultra.

Xedius, 14 Oct 2025I can't speak of Realme, but seeing how Samsung ruined... moreRealme gives green lines with updates. Not on midrange devices like Pro Plus, but flagships like Realme GT 2 Pro. No issue so far with Realme GT 5 Pro, Realme GT 6, Realme GT 7 Pro. Haven't used Realme GT 7T/7 yet. Realme GT 6T didn't have problem either, but battery life was terrible.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2025to me the telephoto is the most important camera and a 200m... moreYeah, I also think the telephoto is important. I don't think there will be a hidden downside to be honest unless the price is too high. Like you mention the speakers are supposedly going to be quite large and symmetrical. On paper there seems to be no major weakness so it all depends on the pricing now.

I am 100% getting the GT 8 pro unless there is a huge hidden downside. Also apparently the speakers are gonna be really good too.

the addition of the "crisp" camera preset in the global realme gt 7 series was a solid step in the right direction, bringing a less processed, more natural look to photos, much like oppo's "master mode". i'm glad that more smartphone manufacturers are taking the issue of overproccesed, ai-filtered photos seriously. someone *cough* vivo *cough* seriously needs to take notes

Eduard33, 13 Oct 2025Same, this excites even more than oneplus in its peak. Not ... moreIt's the first time I've even considered possibly getting a Realme phone. I don't think the overall hardware is much better than the Oneplus 13 was though so it'll probably mainly be down to optimisation. I guess the ultrawide at best will jn5 at best which was what the Oneplus had. The main sensor on the Realme is weaker, something like an LYT-700. It's just really the periscope that is better with the HP5 but the LYT600 periscope on the Oneplus 13 was also fairly good. Overall though, it's looking promising. I'm glad to see they are focusing on improving the lenses as well and not just the sensors. Will definitely see a price hike compared to the gt7pro but I'd still expect it to be very good value

Eduard33, 13 Oct 2025Same, this excites even more than oneplus in its peak. Not ... moreOne Plus 13 had a great camera, but OnePlus 15 has bad camera hardware. This phone should have LYT 808 as a main, which would have made things perfect. LYT 700 is big let down.

logically it shouldn't have better image quality compared to dedicated aspc camera but who know lol?

Realme's sucky and short software support makes their phones throwaways. Not worth it.

Anonymous, 13 Oct 2025I don't mind short update support as long as the phone... moreExactly my opinion, I don't understand why people expecting new updates which may have new grave issues.

For me the stability is the key, android version is not a matter. I'm using Android 12 and so far there is no major issue identified. I don't want to update my phone.
