PureOS, 18 Oct 202510% of population has the same problem. On the other hand, ... moreIf they don't cater to PWM-sensitive people, then the easiest and most effective thing we can do is voting with our wallet. At the same time, we are breaking the e-waste cycle in one way or another, and experience no burn-in issues and multicoloured lines, rainbow mosaics etc. on high refresh rates.
Imagine how many OLED displays are dumped upon repairs for minor issues that could've mitigated with proper quality control. That's a side effect of chasing for maximum profit and greenwashing.

It's hard to know what '1.5K' actually means in context. If it means 1080p then it might be acceptable depending on price but it would be a pretty significant downgrade given how big the screen is. If they mean somewhere between 1080p and 1440p (which is sometimes called 2K for some reason) then I doubt anyone would even notice the difference. Anything above 450ppi is fine on an OLED, but below 400ppi isn't ideal.

they add a cost for a screen feature (165Hz) that only 0,000001% of users may identify but, skip a screen feature (anti-reflective display) that 100% of users will identify. what were they thinking?

There is an obvious change in sharpness and overall quality, i watch movies and enjoy watching 1440p videos on YouTube and im extremely disappointed at OnePlus for doing this as I've been waiting for a new phone for quite some time now, i have the OnePlus 10 pro and its still amazing just the battery is not as good as before and the phone is definitely slower than before, OnePlus always goes 3 steps forward and 3 steps backwards...

Furkan, 14 Oct 2025Oneplus has bad cameraThis changed in 12 and 13, now it is at the level of other phones in the same category.
Oneplus loses significantly in the zoom category, but it's only a problem if someone uses it
