Anonymous, 16 Oct 2025Can you tell the reasons for the different battery capacity?Taxes mostly. Basically, in my understanding, the company that brings a device with a capacity above a certain threshold needs to pay more in taxes. I do not know why exactly this was implemented or why not just charge more for the phone to have the same capacity.

Shame to see the new Pro lost the main wide camera's variable aperture, but longer zoom on the telephoto camera and 4K/120fps video recording support is still a welcome addition.

I owned Honor Magic5 Pro and Magic6 Pro before.. Until they start to improve their UI and video's smoothness and quality drastically, I won't dare to buy any of Honor smartphones again.

The magic 8 pro is definitely one of the most balanced Android pro phones. The cameras seem to be improved a lot especially the new HP9 85mm periscope with CIPA5.5 stabilisation. This is basically more or less on par with Vivo now. CIPA5.5. stabilisation is basically the current best in the industry too on par with the Vivo x300pro. Speakers are miles better than Vivo's x300 pro and significantly better than the Xiaomi 17 pro max (Vivo is worse than Xiaomi here). Screens are similar across all 3. The network band coverage is top notch on the Magic 8 pro with 24 5G bands supported and it supports coverage in over 200 countries and you also get a specialist signal enhancement chip. It has the best charging combination of all phones with 120W fast charge and 80W wireless charging and also supports 100W PPS charging. The only current android flagship model with 3d face unlock. The language support is better than Xiaomi and Vivo for things like screen translation and ai subtitles. The only real downside for me is the curved screen but that's a personal preference. For all those moaning here, can you tell me which pro model (either existing or upcoming) has better allround specifications than this?

LV426, 15 Oct 2025Others have 7000 or 7500.Like which flagship phones have 7000 or 7500mAh in Europe? I think many others will come with even smaller batteries in the EU. Like the Vivo x300 pro is apparently under 6500. Let's see if any can keep the same batteries. I think it's more likely in more performance focused phones than all round

Shamrock Sean, 15 Oct 2025Let's hope images are better than 7 Pro Check out ZPH on YouTube for a good camera review. Cameras look very promising this time.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2025Waiting to see the "mini" model...If the mini variant is going to be just a smaller non-Pro Magic8, I'd honestly just get something else from another brand.

Shame they went for a curved display when everyone is switching to flat now.
They could've use the display on the Honor 400. That has super-thin bezels, good resolution and quality, and it's perfectly flat.
