Weekly poll: will the vivo X300 or X300 Pro be your next phone?

19 October 2025
The company streamlined its flagship series, releasing only a 6.31" and a 6.78" model - no big vanilla phone and no "Pro mini" this time.

I will definitely buy x300 over s25 if they can break that bloody update policy..in 2025 there should be at least 6 years of os updates..otherwise there is bloody hell in resell value or using ut as a secondary device after sometime.please vivo as you solve lots of problems plz solve this as well.

          Love my X100 Pro.

Hate Android's UI and recent policy changes (and don't see them changing anytime soon)

I don't think I can stay with Android anymore.

If vivo goes global and actually puts global ROM on their phones, I'd support them in a heartbeat.

Minu, 20 Oct 2025Same thought! I wish the camera island was smaller like the... moreI doubt that with decently-sized periscope telephoto cameras, small camera islands are even possible. For example in this case, the telephoto uses 1/1.95" sensor, so the width of the sensor itself is close to 5mm, and therefore the thickness of the telephoto module would be close to 7mm. Once you fit it behind a display, the overall thickness would go above 9mm, necessitating an island. And once a camera island is necessary, you would have to look at the width of the periscope module, which in this case would be close to 25mm (over 1/3rd of the total width of the phone). And if you have any other camera lens element beside it, the camera island would now extend to around half of the phone.

I think one way of avoiding large camera island is to use a smaller sensor (such as 1/2.76"). I think it would be possible to fit it flush within a 8-8.5mm body, thus obviating the need of a camera island altogether. But making all camera elements fit within a 8-8.5mm body would also necessitate a main camera with sensor no larger than 1/1.95".

I wish the camera island was smaller like the Nokia 6.2/7.2, because that would've made it a lot more minimalist. And there goes my usual nitpick for the decorative circle that doesn't even serve a substantial purpose.

Though I wish there were more colour options over the basic pastel colours with a frosted finish.

Sort of disappointing that they chose to downgrade the main sensor on the X300. Otherwise it could have a perfect package for those looking for a compact phone, as there is absolutely nothing else to complain about spec-sheet wise.
