jiyen235, 17 Oct 2025htc is alive?Yes. HTC got more into VR and Google bought a division that helps designs Pixel phones. Prior to branding their own phones 20 years ago, they were ODMs for other companies. HTC was the one to create the first Android smartphone (G1/Dream), first Xperia, first Nexus, and first Pixel.

Vasra, 17 Oct 2025 Unisoc T765 chipset and targeted at Gaming? Redmagic also does this to their Neo series. Sadly, their pricing is at Poco X7 Pro levels lol.

It's a shame that the legendary Taiwanese company is parodying Chinese electronic waste. They should continue making smartphones in the style of the aluminum HTC One.

Vasra, 17 Oct 2025 Unisoc T765 chipset and targeted at Gaming? Makes sense for mid-range performance at a lower-end price tag. No wonder the HMD Crest series had the same chipset for less than USD70.

rizki1, 17 Oct 2025It's good that they're back with something intere... moreThe T765 (and its usual T8xxx rebrands), by no means, is a weak chipset. The arrangement isn't far off from a Snapdragon 8 series chipset, replacing the X-series cores with a more pedestrian set of Cortex-A7x cores to compensate for the cheap price tag.
My only issue with these phones is that they're essentially rebranded Shenzhen Doke (Blackview, Oscal, Oukitel) phones, just like the Meizu-branded slabs. If those devices were at least original to some extent (despite being Wingtech-based), they could've made sense from a brand awareness perspective.

SGH Fan, 17 Oct 2025Did HTC steal a Samsung wallpaper? It reminds me of Vivo's "Heart of Azure" wallpaper, but to each their own.

The Wildfire series is complete dogwater. The U24 Pro seemed to have promise but I have never seen it on sale anywhere. Just remake the One M8 with modern hardware in it.

The one that looks like iphone 16 pro looks better than iphone.
The one that is copy of vivo x100 series also looks better than vivo.
Last one that looks like xperia, also looks great.

It's good that they're back with something interesting, but isn't this SoC too weak for gaming? The G99 is quite good, it can even play old PC games like Far Cry 2 with an emulator.
