I checked with my mobile phone company iiNet. The answer is not compatible with them. There is no phone company support Xiaomi 17. So don't buy any phone from overseas, they might not be using in Australia.

    The 2G & 3G band were reused for 4G/5G

    And ALL phone (region 1 & region 2 & region 3) support band 800mhz, 900mhz, 1800mhz, 1900mhz & 2100mhz in 2G/3G/4G/5G. So you will surely use it

Aussie telcos blocked most foreign phones simply because they're foreign, even if they have all the compatible bands required by Australian networks. Its pretty much just pure greed, which is really disappointing

They were trying very hard to cut off the phones obtained by people overseas from their networks by claiming they were not compatible with their VOLTE standard. They try very hard to mimic American business practices and models.
