    delayed! http://www.theage.com.au/news/digital-life/mobiles--handhelds/articles/aussie-google-phone-launch-aborted/2009/01/16/1231608964531.html

"Kogan originally planned to launch the handset on December 15 last year for $199, but closer to that date he said the release had been delayed and the price would be bumped up to $299 for the low-end model and $399 for another with extra features such as GPS, Wi-Fi and a built-in camera."

what next, $499 for a slightly better phone that will never come?

The screen resolution should be a little higher.

      320x240 is not good enough.

brynn, 04 Dec 2008You could be right their,,if android is like google itself ... moreOfc it can, I believe Android is as good as the Iphone software and it will be getting even better. Some ppl even say it's currently better! One is for sure, it's Google's job, this means only good!
WM'ssellings are going straight down, to the zero, where is their place. I hated in the past 6-7 years when if you want good PDA with good specs it must be with MW! Not anymore, heaven is here and getting better!

Karim, 04 Dec 2008yeah but its not like you have used it!! the android os ... moreI'm not saying I have used Android all I'm saying is give it a chance before you start bashing it -- it'll probably do for the mobile phone OS market what google done for internet search engines.... Like I said previously -- anything produced by Google is quality!

I believe that the Agora does not have one of the T-Mobile US 3G bands (1700mhz), so no 3G if you have T-Mobile and are in the US. For $300USD shipped (Pro), that won't bother me. I'll still be counting down the days to launch.

                Looks fantastic, and thin too.

T-mobile G1 has no video calling (as well as front camera for it) as well as the Kogan Agora! it looks like Android has problems with video calling? Is that possible or just the makers don't prefer it, instead of which they save money=>better retail value. Single little camera in the front is expensive piece, and as we know not much ppl use it, but I would prefer it, just to be there on my phone.

Android has no support for video calling, lol?!!

It's UMTS/HSDPA (850, 1900, 2100 MHz), clearly sated in the specifications. Nice phone. Does anyone know who is the manufacturer? I would bet on CECT.

                                The Android OS in amazing!!!
I currently have the Tmobile G1 phone and I LOVE it except for 2 things:
                                1. Deplorable battery life
                                2. Slide out QWERTY keyboard just isn't for me.
I've already pre-ordered the Kogan phone because its good the form-factor I like and I can bet you the battery-life will be much better.
                                I'll keep you all posted.
