RealLifePhones, 24 Oct 2025I would be shocked if Samsung was really so dumb to believe... moreNo need to fall for the Tech news trap. There might be other reason because within a couple of months the edge was sold over a million. and given it has been almost 2 months the number is probably around 1.5m. Where s25+ was in total sold around 4.5m even though it was released around the peak Samsung sale time.
I think it is strategic as if they release it the same time next year then they can use new battery tech to push more battery and use it as a test for S27 series battery test run.
The battery is the only one holding it back, even though it has almost as good runtime as many 5000mah battery, not to mention surpassing pathetic Google lineup.

DarlingYext, 23 Oct 2025Samsung makes a lot of sensors and most types aren't u... moreWhat do you mean by the newest and best ones???
Are you logicless? The camera division isn't solely built for the mobile division, as the display or other division. They use the sensors which suit them. Also, about being best, Their 200MP sensors used in the Ultra are their best offering. All S series of last few years also use mostly ISOCELL sensors.
You must be really unrealistic to suggest that Samsung must use all the sensors they release.
Some sensors are made to sell. That's the same reason Sony makes 1" type sensor sensor but never used those themselves, that does not necessarily mean the smaller sensor Sony used is inferior.
I guess I was able to clear your brain fog.

I would be shocked if Samsung was really so dumb to believe thin phone with no battery could replace the Plus model 😂 if they were really this stupid they deserve to miss out on sales caused by the delay 🤷♂️
I don't get why they even need time to develop S26+ anyway it's just S25+ with a new chip inside just like the base model 💀

Anonymous, 24 Oct 2025Meh.. like Apple, you are paying a premium for the name.I just learned that's samsung SSD endurance is much much more (30PB+ and ongoing) than the TBW guaranteed (600TB).
It's just a sample and I know Samsung charge more for name, but you need to see the quality of components inside rather than the spec on paper.
Peace of mind is the key.

Anonymous, 24 Oct 2025Guys, stop looking at phones as yearly upgrades. You are su... moreWell said. Cameras have reached a point of saturation, every upgrade seems minimal since the last 5 to 6 years. Heck even midrange phones have excellent cameras since the last few years. As for the processor, i dont think that any mobile application needs that type of power these days, so we certainly have reached a maximum, atleast until we have some really useful on device ai available. The only thing that needs improvement is the battery which samsung has been systematically ignoring since the note 7 fiasco, even for their m-series

Guys, stop looking at phones as yearly upgrades. You are supposed to use them for a few years at least, ideally for as long as they work.
While they dont need to release phones every year, its just e-waste, having essentially the same phone but with a new SoC/modem etc is fine for new customers. Anyone buying into a line of phones gets the latest, anyone with that line of phone shouldnt be upgraded every year anyway for it to matter if it's 90% the same.

Nameless, 23 Oct 2025At this upgrade rare, Samsung easily could make releases on... moreWhich makes sense. That's the way it should be, users get to enjoy they're devices before it's forced into retirement and Samsung has breathing space to innovate and release quality products.

Nameless, 23 Oct 2025At this upgrade rare, Samsung easily could make releases on... moreThat would honestly be for the best for most manufacturers. I would say every 3 years for samsung tho. They are ny far the most conservative of them all. Their tablets still offer no 16gb ram option (other their ultra which is upper niche ), their phones are lagging behind 2 to 3 years in dx0 mark tests. They are who Apple used to be, slow
