I guess we all love Nokia ( well I do, but N96 was their last phone as far as I'm concerned), also most love Microsoft BUT is the merger a good thing??, Will the 1520 bring back Nokia the way we want it?? Will it solve all their problems??
One shocking question is this; Before the Microsoft deal, why didn't they give the Android OS a shot ( at lease just 2 devices)?? And now with the Microsoft deal, will they be allowed to try Android?? Even if their existence depends on it??
Also is there any guaranty that Microsoft will give the Windows Phone OS exclusively to Nokia??

Oh and one more thing for you smartphone kiddies, it was windows phone that HTC even was born off. They use to manufacture windows phone but without their name after which success they then came out with their own branded windows phones. Steve jobs was probably still in his garage and Google was just a search site competing with yahoo.

Even though I use android, I still have lots of respect of Windows smartphone. They were in the smartphone buisness when most of you guys were on some Nokia 6650 or your first color phone. I had my first windows smartphone, the imate sp3 back in 2004, and it was one of the best phone experiences I have used. We were doing customized roms and what not, when most of guys were excited about MMS function. Xda forums never even existed. It was Modaco forums where the smart ones met.

used a lumia for a month finally switched to android...yea android is resource hungry bt still it does the job,

You just know you like a system (even thoug is bit crappy, a bit more, not that wp is way better) and you are trying to get the best androcrap device. You just have a small problem: even the top seller high end android is a crappy device compared to a midrage Nokia, even to a low cost one. It has the system, but the rest? The most important part ”good quality hardware” is deep inside of the crapp category. In fact, the device it self can be put on the right side of the word crap, so the people can have a better understanding of what that means. Those mic's and earphones and buttons and body are made from such cheap materials, that when you hold the device in your hands is like holding a cheap children toy that in a funny way, can do some calls. Not to many though, cause the mic. can fall off. Not to mention about that uterly ugly design that makes them even more cheap with that fake metal imitation, pure crap. A gameboy knockoff that has only tetris. The only expensive things installed on those crapps are: processor, screen, graphic processor. The system is so cheap that comes free. And from here comes the frustation.
Why is Nokia (the only real mobile manufacurer that's worth the money to pay for) not releasing androids? Whyyy?
