But the Pro Honor being better than the pricier non-Pro variant of Oppo is definitely not overreaching. Can't say much about UI as the closest experience I had with Oppo was with a Realme device. I've used entry level flagship Samsung, Asus, and Honor and Honor software wasn't the least useful to me.

Sure same country with same shit, but mind you honor still has crappy OS. If you search around enough you'll see people complaining on it. Plus battery life, that of which also being not that enitrely great iirc.
I'm not saying oppo is better and defending it, but the implication in this comment that the honor phone is the better or superior one. Seems overreaching it. It may be good for the price but the camera quality and software just aint it imo. In terms of software coloros or origin os (from vivo) are somewhat better. While for cameras I really believe vivo x300 lineup is better, unfortunately though for its price that is.

In my location, the regular X8 last year was priced about the same as the Magic7 Pro. Now, the X9 is about to sell for 170 USD more than its predecessor. At this rate, the regular X9 is going to cost more than a Magic8 Pro, and that's just ridiculous.

The latest generation Samsung flagship doesn't get have the new Qualcomm chip yet either. Apple? Less exciting - design here is cleaner than the 17 Pro series. And Google's Tensor chips are still about two years behind. So stop whinging about the price. Yes, €1,299 ain't cheap, but you never looked at what these phones have over the standard western flagships.
