commenter, 24 Nov 2025Why would you need 8k 60fps video lolIt's good for probably two things. Cropping in the video when you need. Or you could use it in this way: The 8K video usually has less oversharpening and looks more natural and overall better quality and less like a smartphone. When you record something in 8K you can then just downscale it and have much better looking 4K video.

I'm thinking about upgrading from my standard S23 to S25U, I've been waiting for further leaks but seeing that S26U is staying with S25U camera system I think I'd be better off buying S25U right now for a cheaper price

Does this mean there won't be any built-in magnetic wireless Qi2 charging as well to keep the cost down? This is a stupid decision on the part of Samsung. Maybe I should move on from Samsung and just get a Pixel next year. At least Google has built-in Qi2 magnetic wireless charging in there Pixel smartphones.

So they are using still the same main sensor as in S23U? That's getting riddiculous, I'm looking to move back to Android from my iPhone, but it definitely won't be to Samsung.

If you want to shoot hi res raw, with perfect colors and some range like uw, w, tele, you options are limited.
Specially for me looking for perfection in colors(and preferring medium format and sony alpha precision) and processing of details(no digital noise, better standard bayer resolution recreated with hi res), there is currently the best one being S25U, with apple somehow behind, and google right after them, of course, for colors are the best samsung, sony, huawei, but not everyone offers hi res raw and on all cameras.
With S26U, samsung will have 2 phones leading in this list of the best for me.
Im just waiting they release a fold equivalent, maybe fold9?

All the newly added tech and still didn't include an external memory port. The whole reason I stuck with this platform. I still have my my Galaxy Notes. Fix that please, memory in the clouds get lost and used for other purposes.
