Galaxy S25 Ultra had a 12MP sensor for the 3X camera, cropped to 10MP. This will be the situation for S26 Ultra.

Yep, they gave up on cameras. The quality is already atrocious compared to other brands. It's almost like a mid-range camera on a flagship, but this S26 Ultra doesn't sound like a flagship at all.

I ve used s22 base, s23U and i can confirm that everything xpandamon is saying is true, i have the exact same experience
And it can be seen on the hundreds of reviews online too

When you have a phone with cameras in this segment, it just doesn't really matter. I've had Poco X4 GT which was awesome in so many ways, but cameras were such a huge hit or miss, especially when you switched to wide it went dramatically worse. I still have Galaxy S23 Ultra and it's just great all around. Is it the best? No. Is it so good that it doesn't matter anymore at this point? Absolutely. No matter what they put into S26 series, it'll be great.

(the individual pixel size would be too small, to gather light from f/4.0 for example)
If you don't use sensor crop i don't see any reason to use more expensive, higher megapixel count sensors, it would be just marketing.

Apple, Google, Sony, Asus , Motorola, Samsung are not going to put those ultra huge bumps like vivo, xiaomi and huawei use.
I'd rather have 11mm phone + 3mm bump than 8mm phone + 6mm bump.

What happened to the rumored 50MP 3.5X zoom module? It was rumored long time ago. It would be perfect time to use it in S26 series. Samsung just keeps on disappointing.

- Main — Currently unreleased Samsung sensor or Sony LYT-828 (because apparently Samsung as a company is structured in such a way that using their own sensors doesn't give them a cost advantage to using Sony sensors)
- Ultrawide — Samsung ISOCELL GN8
- 3× telephoto — Samsung ISOCELL HP9 or modified version of it like HPB
- 8.3× telephoto — Samsung ISOCELL JN5
- Selfie — Samsung ISOCELL JN5

I need camera specs of the regular S26. I have no interest in Ultra tablet phone you need a handbag to carry it around.

- 50MP 1/1.28"-type main camera with 24mm focal length and an f/1.4-f/4.0 ten-step variable focal aperture
- 50MP 1/1.95"-type ultrawide with 12mm focal length and f/2.0 focal aperture
- 200MP 1/1.43"-type 3× telephoto with periscope-style lens with 72mm focal length and f/2.8 focal aperture
- 50MP 1/2.74"-type 8.3× telephoto with periscope-style lens with 200mm focal length and f/4.3 focal aperture
For selfie:
- 50MP 1/2.74"-type sensor with 24mm focal length and f/2.0 focal aperture
Obviously things could be better but this is really the minimum I would expect from Samsung at this point, because they're so behind non-Western brands it's ridiculous. Also at least the big telephoto would have proper macro capabilities.
