Invetor, 09 Nov 2025Nice but wired headphones FTWWired IEMs for the win

These seem very promising, sound-wise. Tri-hybrid driver setup? Yes please!

I would love to see how this stacks up with TWS or OWS offerings of competing Chinese audiophile-focused brands from the likes of Moondrop, KZ, etc.

Hoping these also get reviewed by high profile chi-fi experts like Crinacle. Considering they're Harman-tuned, I'd bet he would love this.

Honestly I'm already tempted to buy this myself. I'm a sucker for soundstage, and harman tuning.

Guys, can you pls check if it is possible to get info about the BT antenna/s of these buds? Is the antenna on both buds or just one side and which?
Asking because I'm having trouble with my Garmin watch, which needs buds that have either a stronger antenna or antennas on boths sides otherwise the connection drops out non-stop when running and moving a lot.... Many people are having this issue with Garmin watches and are seeking "better-antenned" buds to have a stronger connection...

Invetor, 09 Nov 2025Nice but wired headphones FTWNot sure if You have tried Earbuds or Open wear stereo buds, a similar comparison (ignore the comparisons in Bass for now) would be open back headphones. I have a HD650 and the Nothing Ear Open, While I can't say I'm overly comfortable wearing the Ear Open as it doesn't have a seal or a very secure fit that sits in one particular position, the Open Sound is much more open than any open back headphones I've tried. The fit kinda ruins the bass tho, from what I remember, there's a good mid bass bump somewhere near 80-160Hz or so on the Nothing ear Open which tries to compensate for the Huge Subbass loss, but depending on the fit, if the earbud is very close to ear canal, you get an almost bloated midbass, but if its not very near the ear canal, the sound is much more amazing. The lack of bass however makes the mids and treble kinda overly dominating, some might even feel the treble a tad bit piercing, (i do feel the lower treble does that at times), I only wish it had more extension and a better subbass response...
My main issue with Nothing Ear Open was its clipping problem, after a certain volume limit, randomly, not that I could replicate the issue easily, clipping happens, and rather loud ones at that which is the only huge problem i have with the Nothing Ear Open.
So all in all, I would say not to discount open wear buds. Once I went with Open back headphones, I find it an impossible task to go back to closed ones, however in the earbuds case, its a hard decision for me to just stick to one and move on.
Funnily, I would actually recommend products like AirPods Pro 1 and 2, their silicon tip fit isn't very isolating, but if you do turn on the transparency mode, it does have a very similar experience to open back type headphones or buds while retaining a generous Subbass boost. AirPods Pro3, I haven't tested yet so I can't comment.

                      Nice but wired headphones FTW
