The Honor Magic8 Pro will have a smaller battery in Europe, here's a look

12 November 2025
The Chinese model has a 7,200mAh battery, the global model will get a minor cut - but the version bound for Europe will have a noticeably smaller battery.

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2025Why would the ones sold in hong Kong be the global version,... moreWell it's a bit of history now. Because Hong Kong was a British colony so it had a different system from China. Even after the hangover to China, China wants to keep it that way (thus it's called "One Country, Two Systems" and is a "Special Administrative Region"). It runs like a country. So basically things work differently from China, like Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Google, etc all work smoothly in Hong Kong. Power socket is still the UK standard, not Chinese one.

I'm from Hong Kong so I know so clear..

I recall some time ago some manufacturers liked to tweak a China model to make a "model" specific for India but it's not the case these days. Guess what. If your battery is 7,000 mah and I'd gets reduced to 70% after 4 years versus a 5,000 traditional lithium battery reducing to 80%, that's still 4,900 mah vs 4,000 mah. Meaning the 'chinese' one is actually better for reducing e waste. I mean this in the kindest way, but glazing the eu has little to no benefits on your daily life
