Such a shame to see the Philips name being put on rubbish been like this for a while now, not the Philips of the 90's my first ever phone was a Philips Savvy on network Orange here in the UK and the phones were solid.
So many brands have gone by now.

Whatever companies (likely Chinese, at least manufacturing happens there as usual) bought the names, IPs, etc. to market their products under them, and quality is at light years of what these brands meant in the past (quality control in current Nokia dumbphones sucks, at the very least for their batteries, and the Grundig earphones I got lasted just a couple of months even if that seems to be usual.)

We all now what products are sold under these names.
These were companies that were big and successful but eventually ended up as brand names on crappy products.
