Zoltan, 17 Nov 2025Such a big dilemma, should I keep my Magic 6 pro, or does i... moreI also have been using the 6 Pro for over a year now. I am thinking about upgrading this year, cause there is some improvement. The Magic 7 Pro had almost nothing new and a smaller battery.
I think the upgrade is worth this time:)

[deleted post]I get it. You're right. However in the case of Honor I must say that they have made significant efforts to catch up the huge gap they had in terms of software and security support. It's still far from class leading but at least you get more than one major upgrade, several even, and you get decent security follow-up, even while not class leading. It's nice to get major updates asap but it's the the market that has made us so dependant on major upgrades and security patches (although the latter ones are more important than the major ones). I'm no different than anyone else but I accept that fact that if an OEM has it's own skin on top of the core android that it takes more time to get it compared to Pixel phones (and also Samsung who is most of the time second to Google to launch...most of the time...). In short, I'm already happy that many Chinese brands also jumped on the bandwagon offering more of all, even for older devices.

Zoltan, 17 Nov 2025Such a big dilemma, should I keep my Magic 6 pro, or does i... moreInvesting is when your money grows, not depreciates every day (like a phone). The differences between these models are minimal and will be practically unnoticeable in everyday use. Personally, I don't see the point at all.

Zoltan, 17 Nov 2025Such a big dilemma, should I keep my Magic 6 pro, or does i... moreIf you dont mind the slightly curved screen, go for the Magic8 Pro. The speakers are awesome too.

If you prefer flat screen, wait for Honor 500 Pro.

Such a big dilemma, should I keep my Magic 6 pro, or does it worth to invest into the 8 pro model?

CamoGeko-XDA, 16 Nov 2025Looks almost exactly like the Honor 7 Pro which I have. A little bit of a smaller footprint with a bigger battery which is basically what I wanted from the magic7 pro. I ended up getting the 400 pro this year since I did not really expect them to dial back the size of the flagship with current trends being mostly the opposite. Good to know for next year if I end up with several hundred EUR burning a hole in my pocket ;dd
