I love magnets, but I believe they should be optional.
If there was a mechanism for sliding out a circular thin slate of glass (contains magnets) without compromising water resistance of the phone's inner chassis. That would be the best of both worlds.
Those with heart ICDs/Pacemakers would like to avoid potentially dangerous magnetic interference. Look at how Samsung made their magnets optional through a case accessory while still maintaining full Qi2 compatibility via software.

My favorite and always brilliant Huawei series, unfortunately, haven't resolved their issue with the United States. I hope Google services return to them today rather than tomorrow.

The RS is magnificent.
The vanilla one and the pro one are meh, but bearable.
The Pro max looks bad, tho.
