Stop being tribalistic and buy whatever serves your daily needs.

Dear Apple phone designers. Please add Back panel LTPO Oled secondary screen and pop up 360° view camera on top. Also, drop the price half. Thanks

Solun1, 18 Nov 2025Copying Samsung yet again. When they don't have any ideas of their own, they just copy their competitor, almost like it was a for-profit enterprise.

Or to put it another way, Apple copies Samsung...again!

iPhone 17 was recenly released, and it's a new device which peope still don't now how to use all the features. My recommendation it's avoid posting articles like this about future releases, that are not even "matured" or strong documented

Solun1, 18 Nov 2025Copying Samsung yet again.Just when I thought I could get through a comment section without this stupidness.

            Copying Samsung yet again.

The base model has become so good, they can’t be released together with the pros

It's not even exclusive to smartphones. Nvidia and AMD use the same top-down strategy when releasing new GPUs each generation.

Excellent strategy hope they don't abandon this irrespective of the outcome!

                      2018: iPhone XS

By 2019, the S was dropped and it became 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17. While 2017 was the first year we didn't get an S model although the 8 was basically a 7S but with a glass back and wireless charging.

Sony did the two flagship thing by 2013. We had the Xperia Z in the first half of 2013 and the Xperia Z1 and the Z1 Compact in the second half of 2013. Then Z2 and Z3 models in 2014.

What Apple is doing is nothing new. Wake me up when they finally release the base model of the iPhone 20 (or XX if they want it Roman numerals again). And I only want the base model because it's the cheapest, smallest, and lightest. The Pro models are usually taller and heavier.

Most phones these days can be used for a good decade. We get 6-7 years of software updates plus those extra years when you can still use that older version to run whatever app you want running. I can still use my iPhone SE (2016) as a daily driver if I wanted to.

I still use a Galaxy S10e from nearly 7 years ago as a daily driver. People are just wasting money on new phones on AI slop, camera gimmicks, or because they're bored.

Not a big deal. Just wait for pros every year.

Samsung has done this for 7 years now with their fold and flip released in August and S phones released in January

it would make sense for the pros/flagships to have their own event, the iPhone air is a great looking phone but when launched alongside the 17 pros and even base 17 it just looked so inferior on paper, especially with its silly pricing structure.

Clever. They can see the gap is shortening between the base iPhone and the more expensive Pro models, so they're releasing the Pros first as a lot of consumers won't want to wait.

Well, I don’t see how they can add a second camera on the Air anyway. There’s only so much room in that plateau.
Waiting until 2027 for the regular iPhone 18 would definitely be annoying, and many will probably be tempted to just get the Pros. More money for Apple, I guess.

Edward Coventry, 17 Nov 2025"The Company posted quarterly revenue of $102.5 billio... moreThese Chinese or Indian companies aren't going to understand those figures because they only want $200 phones with the specifications of phones costing over $1000. Don't waste your time with these losers. Obviously, Apple earns that much and more; the iPhone is the best-selling phone, followed by Samsung with its S series, and then Xiaomi, all worldwide. The rest only see the profits from afar.
