Samsung Galaxy S26 series to be lighter and thinner than predecessors

And a lot lighter than the iPhone 17 series.

You are absolutely right, I could've. The problem is that I didn't want to, because it was known to be better to charge it overnight, and that was simply wrong, it still is.

"I guess you had to waste 1000€+ to “get around it”."

Nope. I bought it because I liked device, not because of its slow charging speeds, the latter is the only thing I hate about it.

Nike is not made in china for example but feel free to see conditions of poor african people and even teenage kids working hard mostly for food, drinks and roof over their head in other words simple place to sleep. Soes which are made for pennies but sold for hundreds just to feed ego and wealthy life style of people running this brand. Same goes for apple and many else brands.

You think is fair that only US and EU citizens are rich and outside of those countries people more likely surviviving and playing ultimate survival than having a peacefull friendly lifestyle and not begging on streets for food and money???

Can you imagine for happy would be poor kids of africa for example north and south Sudan if their average salary would be around 5000 euros like in Switzerland??? Probbably not.
Rich people are here becasue poor people works for them. And most rich people gives a crapa bout poor people.
They just cross you and go.
For them you are less than a cockroach.

We can debate long time over this but world been never fair. But in some countries you have at least a chance of changing something in many else countries no matter how hard you try or how much genius you will born your chances are lesser than winning a billion in a lottery.

Well, it looks like you could definitely charge the iPhone SE (2020) before sleep back then, just like you are doing with the 1000€+ Air right now :

      Air 18W : 15min -> 33%, 30min -> 57%, 100% -> 1h33

        It does not matter.
I always reccomend best for least amount of money. Try to live in Slovakia you will understand. Prices in shop like in switzerland but among all 30 EU countries salary here is worse tham in remaining 29 countries of EU.
I am not here for politics but living and working in Slovakia under current government and current prime minister is equal to a slavery in south Sudan to me poorest country in world and also equal to Etiopia or Somalia. Living from like 1000 euros a month where you spend 50-70% of your salary to bills is a nuts.
Just saying. We are nice country a very nice one but living here is very difficult.

*To answer you another thing i buy my phone from my network carrier on a 2 years contract. When said contract ends and my 2 years warranty ends too i buy new phone with new warranty with my casual luck my 2 years old phone gets some accident or breaks and i am not willing to pay 300-500 eur for repair rather will buy new device for that ammount of money. So while my old device have good value i always try to sell it.
My old Motorola X4 been sold for 200, My edge 40 pro been sold for 300 first week when my warranty ended. Same will happens with my current Motorola edge 50 ultra.
In last week of July 2027 will sell it for good so it can serve someone else.
By the way my contract for my current edge 50 Ultra with 16GB ram and 1TB storage is 25 eur per month for 2 years. In total will pay 600 which is perfect deal for a perfect phone.
For same ammount of money you wont find much better deals not here in Slovakia.
Especially not from brands like Apple or Samsung.

by the way i always respect other people but disrespect those whos parrents did not taught them good maners or they act as they know everything.
Lastly i see everything only black and white because there is only good and evil and nothing in between. Thats the reality of people and this world.
Even so called biggest companies and people who leads them act as pure white even they are pure black.

By the way check this maybe you will learn something interesting about my country.
Use subtitles or if you have a speech translator it will do for you.

IQ200, 19 Nov 2025"Leaving your phone on a charger for hours doesn'... more""Leaving your phone on a charger for hours doesn't even seem like a good idea."
Guy asked you for elaboration and that's what he gets. Hm..."

Seriously why would I want to leave any phone on a charger for 7-8 hours, possibly even more, when it can be charged up to a 100% in 30 - 90 minutes?

"How old does the phone have to be to not have protection against overcharging the battery when it reaches 100%?"

How about not charging the device overnight so I don't have to be worried about it overcharging? I'm sorry, but I'm way way more comfortable with a phone charging with 50W - 180W for 12 - 30 minutes, which I can easily just wat for it to be ready and then unplug it, so it's ready for tomorrow, rather than letting my phone charge for hours while I'm sleeping and have no idea about what's happening to it.

"Although we've already covered that topic, how can you know about the real state of your phone's batteries if you've had about 50 (or more) of them since 2018.?"

Now you are just over exaggerating, I started buying a lot of phones in 2020 after I got bored with my iPhone SE (2020), first one after it was the iQOO 5 Pro, then a OnePlus 7T Pro, then some other ones. The iQOO I still have, and it's still good, but I'm not using it, and haven't used it in a long time, I just check on it sometimes. However the OnePlus 7T Pro, which is even older than the iQOO is still being used, not by me, but it stayed in the family and it's being daily used by someone who only has that 1 phone. No complaints whatsoever, battery life is still good.

"Most people are interested and in a worry in how the phone behaves as their daily driver after a few years of using ultra-fast charging.."

Sure, which is exactly why I mentioned the vivo X Note specifically, and not any of my other phones between the SE (2020) and the X Note, as that was my daily driver far longer than the Galaxy S8 and the iPhone SE (2020) combined, and that's my only phone that isn't an iPhone, that tells me the battery health in the settings app, which is 92%. I'm no longer daily driving it, but it's still being used every day for gaming, and it can last about 4 hours playing PUBG on the best settings with maximum brightness, which may not sound amazing, but considering it could last about 5 hours of real world mixed usage, when I was daily driving it, that is pretty good.

"iPhone SE and iPhone Air are not really representative examples for the battery endurance, is it?
I hope you understand what I am trying to say."

I understand what you are TRYING to say, but the thing is these two phones are 5 years apart from each other, and while I had a bad experience with the other one, so far after 2 months the Air is great when it comes to endurance, while the SE (2020) was never good*, and that's mostly helped by how efficient the A19 Pro is. I was charging the SE (2020) overnight, and I'm not charging the Air overnight, the difference is obvious. * Yeah the SE (2020) was never good, when it comes to battery life, but it became significantly worse really really quickly, and that's the problem.

"congrats on trying out something else except Android."

I have already used an iPhone back in 2020 for like half a year, so it's not me trying it out, but rather going back to it, because I knew the OS changed a lot, not to everyone's liking, but for me 5 years ago iOS was really boring, while right now it's pretty good.

Cpt.Power, 18 Nov 2025Well you are right on everything apart one think. Will ne... moreSo that means you do respect other people preferences. I'm glad to hear that. I really am.

Because i have read your comments about any western brand in here since your Motorola Moto X4 days, and it shows you have mostly political reasons when purchasing a phone. Fair enough. Who am i to judge your preference or motives for anything lol. I am nobody.

Your comments showed you are very biased and not accepting other preferences and opinions, which was always very strange to me as you proclaimed yourself as owner of 17 mobile shops around Slovakia. Phone sellers are the ones who should know the best for them self, but recognize what the client wants to offer them just that. They would never preach their own narrative just to prove the point if they want to be professional.

Your narrative so far was that Chinese brands are and always were absolutely better in everything, hardware and software wise and the bigger batteries and ultra fast charging goes great with that. But you are forgetting that other brands also have their value and it is not only because of the logo on the back which suits your narrative.

If you really personally sell phones then it's your job to find out more about every brand, not just you personally like more. Because you want to know as much as you can to better help your clients to buy a phone for them, not for you. And because that's professional.
But i'm glad to see that you respect and other preferences and their choices.

Not everyone has to be the same and ware the same and buy the same. If Dacia has the best value of all cars in Europe, that doesn't mean it's the best car and only car we should choose to buy.

People have preferences in everything and it's not just about flexing. It seems you want to portray everything like it's just black or white. When someone mention the word "flex", but buys every year a new phone (you had Motorola Edge 40 Pro and now Edge 50 Ultra) that is not a great way to start a debate. Because for accusation of others flexing with some global brand name can be seen the same or even worse then what you are doing it by buying another e-waste for a "2%" better performance year on year.

I just want to prove my point the same as you, but my point is that everything is relative.

Everything. It can't be just black or white.
It can't be just.. hey this is truly bad and this is awesome. But that's how your comments often sound. Like, this is great and this is "useless". Your own words.

I mean.. i respect your opinion and preference.. but when you answer in a way that shows you respect other people choices then the comments you made hold a bigger weight. When it looks like it's not just some fanatic's yapping and trying to justify their own choice in front of strangers on the internet you know....

So i congratulate you once more for paying a respect to other people choices even they don't match with your personal opinion and thanks for the time.

              Have a great day!

Guy asked you for elaboration and that's what he gets. Hm...

                Question:
How old does the phone have to be to not have protection against overcharging the battery when it reaches 100%? Xperia phones had this back in 2016, so I have no doubt that other manufacturers also got this function years ago.

Although we've already covered that topic, how can you know about the real state of your phone's batteries if you've had about 50 (or more) of them since 2018.?

Most people are interested and in a worry in how the phone behaves as their daily driver after a few years of using ultra-fast charging, so I don't see much of that elaboration the guy asked you to... It seems you love phones so much that you can't be with just or two phones as a daily driver for couple of years, so how can you give an objective opinion that
isn't just suits your narrative about ultra fast charging charging? In my opinion, that's not enough of "proof". And even if it is... Everything is so relative. Why? Because all people are different, all with different experiences and preference for everything we buy.

For example.. Galaxy S8 was one of the most successful phones that Samsung ever released, but you had a bad luck with it and now you think every their model is the same.
Sure, their bloaty UI isn't great for everyone and they are boring as hell with the same models and only different chips every year, but they always present a standard and Chinese always bet on higher numbers, because they don't have the brand recognition like western brands have. They will always want to outnumber anything so they can be competitive. Like hey.. you western brands, you all have your brand name that people trust for years if not decades, but we have objectively stronger hardware for a more affordable price.
They found their way to be competitive even they don't have a global recognition.
Every little geek will sing and rejoice when they see a bigger number in spec sheets.
Because that's automatically better. But is it? No, it is not. And that is a fact.

So, why isn't all clear even the Chinese have all better? Because it's not. Software wise we can argue who is better, but we can't argue that they operate differently. Than all we have is a preference.

When someone asks for possible harmfulness of ultra-fast charging in the long run
and for his argument uses an battery feature that has been available for about 10 years on mainstream phones... you have to admit that can't be called "the elaboration" that people expect.

And speaking of expectations... Wouldn't it be much simpler for people to understand all that buzz about batteries and their charging if there is a certificate like we have for, say, water resistance? Of course it would. But that doesn't exist. They all brag for everything on their site, they even have a battery safety certificate which means their battery won't explode into our faces, which is good. But that is not the main issue people are most interested.

People want to know how much is the impact on a battery in long run, let's say 4 years of use as a daily (your only) driver phone. So... all we have are just opinions. Until we have some solid proofing from the 3rd party and not read just what the marketing claims on their sites, we are allowed to have different opinions and in that case nobody is wrong, but nobody is right per se either.

Anyway... you are the one around here that i respect very much, but some things you say in my opinion aren't enough for most of people wanting clear answers. Like this one for ultra fast charging or charging over night. I mean.. out of 50+ phones the only two iPhones you had are the ones with the most weakest battery endurance out of all iPhones in like 8 years and you talk about the battery health.. Why?... How can this help anyone to prove them which technology is more safer to use in the long run? iPhone SE and iPhone Air are not really representative examples for the battery endurance, is it?
I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

P.S.: congrats on trying out something else except Android. Some say only children and wannabe rich people buys them, but we know that can't be the universal truth. IOS is indeed very different than Android and we have to respect their differences, because we are all different as well.

I guess you don't buy Samsung products or Adidas, Nike, Reebok, Vans, Levi's and other brands, because their products are made by the most affordable work force on the earth which is mostly China and India, so according to you, only reach people buys those brands. For you if someone wants anything that is not Chinese that automatically means they are rich or wannabe rich and they buy because of the logo.

That can't be the universal truth, that's just something that suits your narrative about "western vs Chinese brands and products" isn't it right?
People around here are forgetting one important thing. One thing that beats any specification sheet crunching numbers. That's users experience and his own preference.
Not just for phones, for everything. Even music. Of favorite Formula 1. People can have all the statistics in the world and say Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are statistically the most awarded drivers in the history, so that fact alone for many makes them the best ever. But not for everyone. People have their preference in everything.

Why do so many people ignore that fact? Preference?

Anyways my first couple of smartphones only had really slow charging, likes of my Galaxy S8 and iPhone SE (2020), so I basically had to charge them overnight and within 1 year they were ruined, the SE went down to 84% battery health, despite being charged with official chargers. My next phone and the ones after it, with one exception all have fast charging, out of those my most used one is a vivo X Note, which after more than 2 years still has no battery issues, despite mostly being charged with its original 50W vivo wireless charger, if not then it was charged with the original vivo 80W charger, it's currently on 92% battery health. The one exception is my current phone, the iPhone Air, which I'm charging right before going to sleep, unplug it when fully charged, put it away and it's ready for the next day with 100% battery, I would still prefer if it had fast charging, but I get around it.

If releasing nearly the same phone every year with the only???? difference being their chipset, counts as creative to you, then you should probably look around and see what other brands are doing and how much faster they are actually improving. "
