It will have faster wireless charging, though.

I absolutely do not care about the nits. What I do care about is that they don't use the same poor display technology they used in 24, and s25. Those had really bad color shifts at very small angles. The display was visibly worse than my S21 FE.

Imagine 10 more years with brightnes race- i want to read message at night and get daylight in tha hood

If LG and HTC were still around, Samsung wouldn't be this lazy.

Brightness is already good. Improve cameras. Give larger batteries and faster charging. Add more ram and storage.

Display is bright enough already, just like chip is plenty fast enough. That's not what needs to be improoved: cameras and battery (base model especially).

This was the only thing i wated for upgrading from s21. Great now there is absolutely 0 reasons to upgrade. Waiting for s28-s30 what a joke.

Anonymous, 21 Nov 2025This is incorrect. The 50 MP 5x camera is a significant upg... morethe base s23,24 and 25 all have the exact same cameras

"This is not a good sign. Display brightness has stayed unchanged for several generations, and it inevitably raises suspicion that Samsung has started cutting corners (rounded? 😆) on the screen"

                        No it doesn't,What figure?
Absolutely no basis, no logic or foundation provided that one follows on from the other. Indeed Apple if true this

Individually this is NOT a feature to persue more is better. It NOW is phoney baloney arms race. There are FLAGSHIP and 'flagship killers' and midrange that even exceeded 3000 nits e.g Google Pixel so what?****

The S25 Ultra is NOT impacted. Any / all FLAGSHIPS 2600 nits is beyond excellent.
More nits greater battery drain for temporary sunlight legibility. https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=13322&idPhone3=13964&idPhone2=13657

If you type in "is 2600 nits brightness good?"
                        A.I overview

"Yes, a 2600 nits brightness is considered excellent, but its effectiveness and availability depend on whether it refers to "peak" or "typical" brightness and the type of device.".... ,(being the 1st paragraph of many)

****There is no logic to the initial rationale as after a stint at 'peak' it WILL REVERT to "normal" (even phones with more nits) to both preserve battery and prevent overheating.
Not a problem UV light is though.

At this point, don't even release the S26 series. They are the same as the S25, S24, S23, etc. We don't need the same phone every year while it's getting more and more expensive and still keeping the same hardware. Samsung deserves to be the next Nokia and end up falling out of the market.

So boring...Always big hopes for Samsung S serie every year...and then we get the same midrange specs.
Very soon the chinese companies will rule the market.

At this point Samsung is just sandbagging it and they will release (finally) something truly good or they completely lost the plot

What we need os dc dimming or a return to lcd with uphrades

i really want samsung to remove something for current iteration of samsung galaxy s series though, so there is something they can call it innovation
i hope it will be the screen that is removed though
it is so annoying to have a screen on a phone after all

More brightness isn't the solution. It just increases thermals and lowers screen durability. There's a reason why they've got the antireflective screen coating now. Never really felt like I needed more brightness, either
