It's rumored to launch as the OnePlus 15R outside China.

Mostly fixed-lens models, and some small interchangeable-lens cameras that have a rangefinder aesthetic, not the huge DSLR-style bridge cameras. Most camera companies have stopped making these, or only have one model left like the rx100vii, and prices are getting ridiculous on the used market.
And to your point about buying a camera only if your phone is insufficient, using a camera isn’t just about getting better photos than your flagship phone. Sometimes you just want an analog, tactile experience, or you simply like the way a camera looks.

Do not rem... moreAre you referring to compact superzooms and their tiny 1/2.3" sensors, are you referring to bridge cameras with 1" sensors, or are you referring to mirrorless cameras that come with kit lenses and have an auto mode that makes it effectively function as a point-and-shoot? I do not understand where you are coming from with that statement. People buy a dedicated camera because a phone is insufficient for what they want to take photos or videos of. If a phone takes a good enough picture for your needs, just use your phone.

      the R Series got the worst downgrade, they had to gut out the telephoto camera just to make sure it won't eat the sales of the oneplus 15.

        One the Oneplus website there is a promo about the OnePlus 15R with a discount code. It is valid from December 17.

        So the launch is December 17!

The 13R replaced the 2MP macro from the Ace 5 with a 50MP 2x telephoto. Doesn't look like there will be a macro to replace this time, though, so that could be gone from the 15R. Only time will tell, though.

                  No telephoto or ultrawide lens lol. The downgrades continue. Starting to resent every brand now. Even if I had the money I wouldn't buy their overpriced garbage anymore. Could buy a cheap flip phone, a point and shoot camera that takes better pics than any tiny phone sensor could and an entry level gaming laptop for cheaper than it would cost to get even a midrange phone nowadays let alone a flagship.
