      Have you ever heard of something called taxes? The korean price may convert to $2450, but if it ever reaches other parts of the world, like the US or the EU, the price won't simply remain the same, it will be significantly more expensive.

They should've waited because this is a $2450 - approximately $3000 phone depending on the region, and the successor to the 8 Elite, which is the 8 Elite Gen 5 has been out since September, there are already much cheaper phones out there with the Elite Gen 5, while phones with the 8 Elite can be had for $700, or less. The Z TriFold naturally should've been released with the latest Qualcomm chipset.

            It's already the most expensive phone on the market, an extra $100-200 to get the latest chip in it wouldn't have mattered for anyone, and it could've been possible exactly because there is no competition, couple of weeks or months of delay or a slightly higher price wouldn't have made a difference, this still would've been the only available TriFold with capable hardware and Google services, only then it wouldn't have felt like a last gen device.

              There are no competing Tri Folds out there, equipping it with the most expensive SoC only adds EVEN MORE to the cost (Kirin 9020 7nm because only 8 Elite Gen 5 is.) This is your non Samsung ownership advice

                                      The idea of a device like this is to be a laptop replacement. In order for the unfolded screen to be usable, having a second front facing camera on the unfolded side is also needed.
