My point was that Xiaomi has not entered the US market for smartphones and therefore they won't send them to the FCC for approval. Third parties selling their phones is absolutely nothing to do with Xiaomi itself. That is independent third parties trying to make money not Xiaomi selling their phones in the US.

Here in Canada you can buy it from Aliexpress/Amazon and it’s supposed to work great in most of models. Problem is when you want a Xiaomi model you always need to check if it will work or not here.

OnePlus household look nice. I live in Canada and In my house we use Samsungs. Meanwhile all my big family that lives in my hometown country use Xiaomis and this is my dream to have one too.

Companies are only going to send phones to the FCC for approval if they are launching them in the US market. Xiaomi simply has not entered the US market and doesn't try to get phones approved by the FCC. They could enter the US market if they wanted to but it probably doesn't make business sense for them to do so as it's a difficult market to enter so it's not worth the expense of doing so

Fortunately, this is not an issue for most OnePlus 13 owners who have chosen not to upgrade. Hopefully, with the OP16, Oppo will stop downgrades and gimmicky upgrades.

Alternatively, Oppo will see abysmal OP13 sales and roll out the OP13T or OP13 Pro that's a real flagship contender.

Att and Verizon black lost them. OnePlus is approved. Sort of in a corrupt monopoly here. Google, Samsung, apple, or Motorola. Google and apple and Samsung all bowing to the orange predator so only option that is fcc cleared is OnePlus or Motorola. So OnePlus for my household has been it. Sadly Google software as android but at least I'm not buying there stuff directly.

Can't wait to purchase. So much better spec wise and visual than anything even apple offers. Glad to see a company innovating for once. Frankly I don't care about cameras such a gimmick these days.

She insists her Huawei P30 Pro from 2019 has a much better camera than her 2023 iPhone 15 Pro Max, and refuses to buy any more iPhones because of this. She's now awaiting delivery of an Iqoo 15 (which will work on T-Mobile 4G and 5G), because when she compared the photo samples from the GSMArena reviews of the Iqoo 15 and iPhone 17 Pro Max, the Iqoo photos looked better to her eye, especially when pixel peeping. The Iqoo also has superior battery life, faster charging, and doesn't force inferior (and less secure) face unlocking on her.

Officially available brands, but not through carrer are: Xiaomi, OnePlus, ZTE and Nothing.

Not to mention transsion phones (Infinix/Tecno/Itel) are IMPOSSIBLE to get here.

So yeah, pretty harsh market for a Xiaomi/ZTE/Infinix lover like me.

The US is a pretty tricky, if not impossible, market for smartphones from other brands to enter imo. I’m surprised RedMagic even got the current holding it has in the country (even though it’s basically insignificant) despite their phones not being sold through carrier deals. Heck, they even added N71 band support in their past few models. OnePlus used to sell though T-Mobile but stopped a few years ago, which sucks for me being an American.

With America being one of the very few countries in the world where iPhones statistically have greater market share/are more common than Android phones, along with blacklisting/ban concerns… yeah. Apple-Samsung duopoly basically.
