Pushing for powerful mobile phones, more powerful than notebooks? With such an attitude, you can have luck with people who don't think completely rationally. Let me be clear: I absolutely consider it unnecessary to have a mobile phone that has the performance of a powerful notebook.
A lot of GHz on a mobile phone. For what purpose ?
Playing technically demanding games while waiting in a long line of cars or during a plane flight or in line at a hair salon? lol
Doing graphic design ?
Performing complex mathematical, physical or chemical calculations ?
Oh, no. As for average demanding people, as well as people who understand and use the benefits of using a notebook, all of this still belongs (and, I believe, will belong for a long time to come) to the notebook family.

Yes, Qualcomm are faster now than A chips, yes it uses more 2 extra cores, but final result is, that Qualcomm latest chips are faster in CPU multi thread performance and GPU is miles ahead. Apple lost the plot already, their GPU's on A series simply sucks and CPU barely holding anymore. Apple clearly cannot compete any properly with 6 cores and they already losing with GPU badly.

Every now and then, a new CPU, that defies others, that have recently seen the light of day. It's already becoming tedious and largely pointless, as a significant number of us rely very little on AI. :-)
Snapdragon, Exynos, or any other CPU can theoretically be maxed out, up to 20 or 200 GHz, whatever. However, thermal throttling is inevitable - a problem that has not yet been successfully solved by mobile phone manufacturers. An additional problem is the impact of a highly clocked CPU on the performance of the mobile phone battery.
For both reasons, it is quite logical that notebooks (even with less GHz than the CPU in today's mobile phones) have active cooling, CPU fans. :-)

Looks like Samsung will reach the 2nm milestone earlier than TSMC.
I will reserve judgement until tests are performed on actual products, not theoretical results from pre-launch benchmarks.
Yield is the most important info. Yield for Exynos 2600 is still low, at 50-60% as of November 2025. That means Samsung might have to cut corners elsewhere, take a loss, or raise phone prices, for the bragging rights of 'we did 2nm first before TSMC/Qualcomm in 2026'.
