The initial order has proven extremely controversial.

If it is really good people will download it alone.

intially the gov had even ordered to make the app uninstallable. now what good is that going to lead to? the gov later changed their statement. you could say maybe they made a mistake or maybe they are trying to protect seniors who might accidentally uninstall the app with their butt.

Idkxx, 03 Dec 2025If it was really for people's good then why force itBecause not all old people are able to understand "Play Store". By preloading, it is easily accessible to everyone. It's no different than having Facebook/Meta stuff preinstalled which is way worse and has been normalized everywhere.

People just use the notion of "Government bad" because it calls to their agenda and gets them clicks. I say that as someone who does not like our current government. Digital scams are a massive problem here and it's only been increasing.

The Indian govt is notoriously known to use spyware to surveil citizens. Good that it had to back down.

It is just a massive number taging system, the type used for slaves and endangered animals. Just can't trust this government.
Also as i said before, most of their voters are just innocent, unsuspecting and impulsive people who just got trapped by their publicity campaign through their lapdog media and whatsapp university. Right now they are just addicted to the conspiracy style content that this government creates, which usually involves religion and opposition foreign hand collusion kind of bizarre theories.

Just 1 master and all cows are happy, safe, domesticated for lifelong with their children and grand children and so on.
I like this way very much but i wish i could be the master, not someone else.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2025It's alright that you are just guessing that this app ... moreMost phones and tablets have a way to track whether you are being spied on or not. Easiest way to do that is to give certain permissions to the app, and then if it does something without user input, the phone literally sends you a warning about it. If you haven't received anything like it, that means the protections in place are doing their job. You can try to circumvent this by installing third party apps in hopes that one of them (highly unlikely) has spyware.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2025It's alright that you are just guessing that this app ... moreI can give you at least 3 reasons without having to think that this is a malicious initiative in the making but like I said, it will go to waste because the policy here is not make political comments.

                                      But here goes nothing...

                                      1. Current government has proven record of tampering with voting and the way votes are counted.

                                      2. A popular identification standard introduced 8-9 years ago requires all your information but cannot be used as a legal identification certificate without a secondary legacy accompanying identifier.

                                      3. Current government has never held an open press conference since first coming in power back in 2014.

                                      4. On record, the current government has been exposed by individual non-profit entities of bribing and controlling news and legacy media.

                                      5. Constant use of religious beliefs to interfere voting decisions.

I can go on but any sentient person should get the picture now

It's one app today, it will be a suite of apps later.

And no, it wasn't china but N-Korea. Although both stellar examples.

                                        Meanwhile in Indonesia
A couple of months back their ministry want to create like "Car Ownership License Book/Card" for each phone.
So in order IMEI to work, you need to register the IMEI with you're identity card, then you will have the "phone ownership/ID card", so each phone/IMEI could be tied up to specific person. And if you're phone got stolen, you can report it so the IMEI will be blocked.

Their first idea were you need to pay for tax like every year,
but after the public uproar, they might not taxing through the scheme at first
