Many computers run well on a dual core and no mainstream computer exceeds quad core. I don't see why they have to put an octa core on a smartphone.

To clear things up: Apple Engineered their 64 bit chip. Samsung only manufactured it for them.

And the most i mportant thing it should be Quad-core not octa core

I was the first to bring awareness to this soc to GSMArena, and it looks like the rumor's panning out. Now, can we please get this in a metal finish, or at least a sturdier body?

it will be a monster but who needs a processor capable of outrunning a core i3 in their phones?? i mean the key is the software... android right now can not make use of 8 super powerful 64 bit cores.

Ohmy stupid comments. Samsung is the one who made the 64bit processors of Iphone 5s. Haha laugh at yourseld

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2013hahahaha!!! what a copycat... iPhone 5s is the best... And ... morewhile apple was fist, i very much doubt that samsung have built a 64bit chip in less then a month, common sense suggest that it has been in development for several months..... personally i do not see the need for these chips in any phones yet, especially on something that has only a 4" and does not even display full HD, how is it even possible to see any benefit from that, where you will probably notice a difference is in the ipads they can at least take advantage of power to offer much better power visually in gaming experience.

Samsung are so desperate lately, pushing unfinished things, just for the show off and it ends there.

The Exinos 5 was a huge fail, so that most of the SGS4 are using the S600 instead.....
Also countless variants of the SGS4 were created, only and only to be able to join the club of the real mobile makers.
