~well yes and no but mostly NOT really. . . big tech corporate remains as big tech corporate. A profit 1st anything lives and dies by their strict margins' rule. The only exception here is; this is just a temporary political posturing that Apple can't really evade for the time being until the regime change. Plus point well being Apple, they can afford to do this and plan to switch back whenever down the road.
To seriously stay committed to Intel long term would be not only contingent to how good are Intel's current + future node processes is going to be but also how they're gonna really turn to be a far better ROI compared to TSMC.
Right now yeah it's just more of a play it safe move for Apple.

LOL Apple would do better making own chips from scratch than rely on any other company.
They would do better to make whole phone from scratch will all any and every screw inside under apple branding and making.

Architect, 07 Dec 2025Intel NEVER left apple they STILL have been supporting secr... moreThunderbolt interface is more like a joint venture between Intel and Apple. They both are deep in it. Also, side note, Apple seems to have a headstart when it comes to devices with newer thunderbolt versions. Maybe it's 'cause of Apple's vertical integration thing that they're able to do it first while Intel takes more time 'cause their reach is wide and spread thin.

Intel NEVER left apple they STILL have been supporting secretly apple.. Bcos apple is allowed to have thunderbolt protocol .. in reality apple chips are still intel's they just calling it their own way
