Eduard33, 07 Dec 2025Again, they're already over that limit.My first reply disappeared not sure if it's a glitch or something cause I went to edit it but anyways, I was saying that I speculate there is a difference between the import cost for a 6270 mah battery and a 7200 one so it's a balancing game. Pay a bit more to import but not as much, while trying to keep the battery competitive with other flagships in the EU. None of this is I can confirm but its the most logical to me.

      On my Magic 7 Pro the battery life hugely improved on Magic OS 10 I was surprised. This is daily use and standby drain

If I have to speculate, the import cost would depend on how much bigger the battery is over the threshold so most likely it was a decision based on balancing how much battery capacity to sacrifice and how much additional cost to settle on while maintaining the phone competitive enough to not lose too many sales to other flagships.

            Edit: Also remember that this import cost will be payed by the consumer in the end, because manufacturers are not going to bill it themselves so it would alsoo make the phone even more expensive to buy in the EU that it already is.

              its because of the EU regulation to ship batteries to keep them in low capacity you can go to his channel for that info

                    That's amazing result for new HM8pro. If HM8pro has 8000 mah it will get around 24h estimation

Then the higher wattage will be maintained for shorter again to prevent overheating risks so it mostly evens out. It's not about getting less value...

                                  That battery is amazing, even though this is the gimped capacity version. I wonder how much better the regular international version fares if this verison is already this good.

Most times I would plug it jus to top it up between 30 and 80 to 85% but often I'd get distracted for a few minutes and it's already fully charged. I was thinking of buying the 100W brick but after a few cycles with the 66W decided it's pointless.

If you go beyond it there is a higher fee for importing the device in the EU so some manufacturers just reduce the capacity to avoid higher import costs while others like OnePlus split the battery in two smaller cells to circumvent the regulation but someone correct me if I'm wrong.
