But Samsung has always been quick to capitalize on emerging trends, and the success of the S4 Active and its redesigned body with IP67 dust and water resistance has been quite significant. The Koreans are hoping that even more people will jump on the Active bandwagon if a more aggressively priced version was on offer, even if the specs aren't exactly flagship-worthy.

Only a stupid company like Samsung will create too many variants of their flagship device.
For e.g. If a buyer buys S4 today then Samsung will release another better variant of S4 tomorrow.
I love Samsung but this is ridiculous.

Leave Samsung alone. Let them produce as many phones and sizes as they can. Its a benefit that there are many to choose from, If you dont like it, DONT BUY IT. Aside from that, after few months theres a big price drop on older phones but with almost the same features. Go samsung! produce more, more and more. Flood us with phones. more more more!

S3 Mini terrible not worthy of Mini moniker..
S4 Mini excellent,using it ATM ,worthy of mini moniker,not really is it?..
S4 Mini Active awful not worthy of mini moniker..
A mini version of something is supposed to be that ,however in reality all of the above are not really mini versions of their bigger brother.

This is quite pointless - once S5 is released in February-March, the attractiveness of anything called S4 Something will drop.
It would make more sense to put the resources into developing S5 mini early on and launching it shortly after S5. The "mini" version should feature identical important specs (CPU, RAM, camera, ppi) and be considerably smaller around 4.0"-4.4".
