Oppo Reno15 hands-on

10 January 2026
While this is the vanilla model, it sits in the middle in terms of size with its 6.59" display. It has the same 6,500mAh battery with 80W charging as the larger Pro Max.

CamoGeko-XDA, 10 Jan 2026Why are they giving the newer models worse internals? To keep the prices the same. Or some people may think that Snapdragon is better than MediaTek bcs they have the best high end chips.

newcg1x, 10 Jan 2026this is a pretty solid phone. the only underwhelming things... moreAgreed, and this is the only time in recent history for BBK to launch the highest configuration of a specific model in India.

Besides, this makes sense being named "Reno 15 F", unlike the one that got launched recently with the same specifications for 3-4 iterations straight.

CamoGeko-XDA, 10 Jan 2026Why are they giving the newer models worse internals? It's what BBK does on a regular basis, making a feeble phone every other launch.

They could've kept the 15c naming for the international model, which would make perfect sense for a phone that's otherwise a downgrade from its namesake predecessor.

this is a pretty solid phone. the only underwhelming things i see here is oppo still uses ufs 3.1 instead of 4.0 (even for the pro) and the chipset downgrade (i mean come on oppo you can afford it), also maybe the old 8mp ultrawide and the high price

Why are they giving the newer models worse internals?
