i have 1 question here, since Google says that 4.4 is optimized for device with as little as 512MB of RAM, is that means 4.4 will be updated on previous year devices? Or only future devices with 512MB of RAM?

it is simple, for those who want to know whether their old phone can upgrade or not, use Nexus 1 as benchmark ... if your phone performance almost same as Nexus or lower than that, dont expect it will runs on KitKat

Can even run smoothly on a 512 Ram device!! Sounds great! But I still doubt on this though, no words on other spec like CPU and GPU requirement as well, hope Google will fulfill its promise

In my notion GingerBread is was stable and solid like a rock. And people enjoyed it including those who are reading this post. Ice Cream & Jelly Beans were catastrophic. I can foresee calamity on this one Kitkat nothing beautiful... it's like toys colourful

yes they said it can support 512mb ram BUT.. they didnt say anything about the cpu and gpu.. maybe they still have some minimum requirements not just 512 ram
