Nokia is suing HTC in six countries on three continents and ViewSonic in the U.S. and Germany. HTC had a SEP license with Nokia before litigation started; ViewSonic took a SEP-only license under a partial settlement. All Android device makers are ultimately going to need a non-SEP license from Nokia.

I can't believe fanboys are so stupid. It is normal business to share technologies, even the likes of Apple don't have 100% of their technologies employed in their devices. Look at automotive manufacturers, the same goes.
It is normal business practice dummies.
The more patents yopu have, the better it is of course, until someone comes with a better idea independent of yours.
What I have said now will go through ur eyes to ur head as u read, if it finds no brain cells after that, it will dissipate into thin air...

@ least samsung is willing to pay legally for patents that are genuinely have been think ed and pondered that became revolutionary during its time. Unlike some company that we usually heard sue everyone and claim other innovation theirs, not paying for the royalties for the original thinkers. Not even acknowledging the originators.........

Just to clarify, Nokias Patent infringement which targeted HTC was a patent issue subject to the chip manufacturer Quallcomm if you read the article, its similar to the patent infringement fiasco in Holland, which was uplifted as a court later ruled on HTC's innocence. Dumb companies using any tactic possible to diminish the reputation of great smartphone manufacturers such as HTC.

The two manufacturers who are consistently using underhand tactics to steal marketshare are now working as one??? typical, Samsung paying taiwanese companies to slate HTC and Nokia filing patent infringements that are not even valid at HTC. HTC prepare yourself...
