Not sure why people keep comparing the price of this phone with a subsidized Galaxy S4. The cheapest I found an unlocked (unsubsidized) U.S. version of the 16GB Galaxy S4 is $590. I'm in the U.S. so can't take the chance on the international version since there is no warranty if shipped to U.S. (i like my warranties on cell phones)I'll take the Moto X Developer Edition for less any day....

Moto X isnt worth the price. They should have sold it in the UK. They are just being cheeky now trying to rack it out at that price. Software of the phone is pretty good, but still doesnt justify the price.

I am so tempted to buy this phone,no doubt it is a great phone and performs at top quality, but Motorola lost me at the specs. I am one of those people that are all about specs.

Motorola Moto X is a great device but the price is still too high. I hate Motorola for not releasing phones in Pakistan.
Motorola mobile prices in pakistan. Here is the link for all motorola mobile phones. But I can't see any prices.

Motorola you should do something about this.

Aman, 08 Nov 2013Lol, at 549 you can buy Nexus 5, G2, S4 and so many better ... moreNexus 5 and G2 are better phones. S4 isn't. It may boast nicer specs on paper, but the HW config and software of the Moto X makes for a significantly better experience.

It's got a better RGB AMOLED screen than the diamond pentile S4. Due to lower screen resolution and screen size - which is retina already - the slightly weaker CPU has less stress and it equals out. And the GPU is equally powerful, but has half the resolution to deal with, so it performs extremely much better.

Seems people don't want to buy mid-range hardware for flagship price just because its Motorola... or maybe because its Motorola? Or maybe having fancy customizations of body and lots of voice controls is simply not enough to justify such price?

I really can't understand what google is doing.

On one side you got the Nexus series, witch always offer low price for top device.

On the other side now there is moto with Moto X, which is a very nice device, but costs almost twice as a Nexus 4, where Moto X is inferior.....

                                    Cool story.

Still too expensive. If they dropped another 100 maybe just maybe it can be seriously considered.
