I see only two down sides:
1.LCD
2.No microSD
And the rest doesn't really matter if one can read or use a web browser with the e-ink side.

Very interesting and quite innovative as well. Unlike the so called superficial over promoted ' innovations ' of Samapple. People may bitch about it but i have never found iphone to be that premium as many many people makes it out to be, including some reviewers. I liked Xperia Z1 though. Feels quite nice in hands. That doesn't mean plastic is any behind. Lumia's too gives an awesomw feel in hands. Infact much better than iphone 5c.

There is a need for such devices, big companies never cared about niche products, they always want to sell millions of same products.

I would buy a phone thas has only a e-ink display. Imagine how long would last one charge if the battery was 2500+ mAh! Not everybody wants to have 5" fullhd display that eats its battery fot 10-12 hours.
I own both S4 and S1. I would replace my 1st gen galaxy for such a phone. It would be my business phone. :)

It's not 'premium feel'
This second screen is an admission that technology is inadequate. That we don't have the juice to power the big screens for so long and we need to start compensating (can you see Apple saying that at a keynote? not me). It's also putting something that in many ways is of a 'lesser' grade, such that the screen doesn't have the ability to reflect all the features of android, and some people may want to use it instead of the main screen for many things, and their user experience takes a hit.
These are the reasons that it was some smaller company and not Samsung, LG, Sony or Apple slapping that on the back of one of their premium devices. It's the smaller companies that get noticed by doing something radical and different. Even if it doesn't catch on, all they need is that "wow" factor, and it's an achievement.

To bad the Medias W from docomo doesnt seem to be noticed, also a kinda sweet dual screen mobile.

I actually really like this, so basically any thing that doesn't need colour to be enjoyed you can just do it on the secondary screen to save power. I like.
