8 megapixel Samsung S8300 touch slider makes an appearance

30 Dec, 2008
As it seems Samsung have a really nice cameraphone in store for all of us, due in the beginning of 2009. The new S8300 has obviously slipped under someone's door, as it's not officially announced yet...

Shouldn't all of you be flaming in the forums and not here, this comment section is for opinions. not comparisons or being bias towards their favourite brands, at least some companies are still on a roll.

I for one think that this will come out to be a success just like every of Samsung's flagship each year. Also this is not a camera centric phone there for adding a xenon flash is an option(not compulsory). I wonder how sensitive the touch screen is and also how good it is at java performance(that's my only gripe about Samsung phones).

sri, 31 Dec 2008Beg to differ with u Dani. Innov 8 is definitely better & I... moreWell yeah they are in different 'leagues'

Innov8 has the Symbian and features (although C905 has similar features)

all that differs them is the Camera which is better on the C905 due to the Xenon Flash and Camera Cover.....

But still Innov8 has a good camera but C905 has a edge over it..

but their good in their own rights.

Dani, 31 Dec 2008K800i and K850i and C905 are the camera KINGSBeg to differ with u Dani. Innov 8 is definitely better & I could vouch for that since I was a proud owner of SE K 800 i & 850 i couple of months back. To be honest, they are nice camera phones. C 905 , on the other hand is a beast in its own rights. However Presently I do own an innov 8 & for sure it is in a different league. No offence pls.

Or camera's with Optical zoom, like the Samsung G800... Fact!

Which N95 are you talking about, the original where it takes about 20 seconds to get your camera ready for a shot or the N95 8GB where it takes 15 seconds to get your camera ready to take a shot?

Now why you keep harping on about an old, outdated phone replaced by the N96, I've got no idea.

Why is everyone going on about Nokia producing an 8mp camera??? It doesnt matter how many megapicels a camera has if the lense and sensor are rubish. The Sony K800i was an 3.2mp camera yet the quality walked all over the LG Viewtys 5mp camera.

Wake up people and realise its not all about megapixels. Nokia N95 is better than most 8mp camera phones - FACT!

1337c4mp3r, 30 Dec 2008Forgot to add... Excuse me D... might you let us know wh... moreI'm not talking about on a phone. Here in Sweden you can get eletronic products from Nokia besides just phones. My cousin has a proper Nokia Digital Camera with those resolutions, and i have a 22" dektop LCD screen and a digital HD TV receiver from Nokia. I think theses kind of products from Nokia are just for the Scandinavian market, caause i have seen them anywhere else when i travel abroad. Like most working people in Sweden you usually get an Ericsson phone from work due to the collaboration between swedish companies, but i do enjoy Nokia phones alot cause of the extreme versitility that i think is unchallenged in the handset buisness. The Ericsson C905 i got from work is not even half as good as my old N82 in every aspect including photos in bad lighting conditions and moving objects. I have a ceiling fan at home made of wood, and a took several pictures of it when it was circulating in the highest speed with my C905 just to try the image stabilizer quality, and they all came out kind of blurry, and my friend did the same with his Innov8 with the same kinda blurry result. I took out my N82 and snapped a few, and they all came out crisp, you could see every detail on the fan, though it was moving im high speed, it seemed perfectly still and sharp on the N82 snaps. So megapixel is not everything, the other stuff like the lens has has to be increased to get proper result, today it's still the size of a greenpea, so probably the software that's upgraded to 8 mp, not so much the lens and the shutter.
