As a phone the lumia range has excellent Hardware
it is all but let down by the software as NON exitent on the phone and non existent seconadary mark
I love the phone the apps that I need to make it mine are missing eg more secure. there is a find my phone but no anti theft except pin and phone lock
an upgrade in hardware software still waiting
So it is a good thing that W8 is finally taking off
I hope this juggernaut of sales gives more a voice as there will be disappointment
Re the other banter that is going on.
As long as the phone does waht you want it to do who cares if it is Andrios IOS or W8.
This is on W8 outseling IOS my take is if IOS were priced the same i would get IOS as it has apps

This tech chief or whatever he calls himself is one pathetic troll. The troll is claiming samsung has released 4.4 for the s2,s3,s4. The last time I checked samsung pulled away the 4.3 update for the above phones cos they were buggy. This troll tech cheap is just looking for attention.

If you are a proud WP owner, why are you feeding him? You know what your device can do and neither you got any concern with what others do with their device and neither you are going to get something for having that type of concern. So just simple. Read it, report it for trollism and ignore it. End of story.

My collection is Nokia 1100, Samsung Corby, Samsung Galaxy Note II(slightly used), Nokia Asha 307, Nokia Lumia 520, 920(first ever WP8), 1020 and 1520(soon) and an iPhone 4S 32GB(gift for passing out high school with good marks).
Among them, it's been over an year since I have seen the face of my old Corby and 1100. Asha 307 is just another once for my collection. Note II for a Samsung premium experience while I don't like iPhone that much. Don't want to sale it because it's a gift.
About me bringing out Samsung like that. Did you notice I hadn't included Note II in any of my comments? Aside mentioning S4 and S4 and Note III while Note II was announced between the times of S3 and S4. My Note II is still at 4.2.2 and will soon upgrading it to 4.3. The S-Pen is so awesome. I miss that feature on a Lumia.
I wish my Lumia 1020 got a removable battery and a SD slot but I am extremely happy with it. Also, I am using the default touchwiz on my Note II and currently experiencing "No Lag" anywhere except scrolling contacts sometimes. I don't know it's just me or it's a public issue but it doesn't bother me. The camera is just average of Note II because I own a 920 and 1020 which have done wonders with cameras.
Also, for my regular university days. I use Lumia 920 as I am much familiar with it than the 520 and 1020 and even the Asha. I use 1020 on different occasions and parties and will probably be using at as my primary phone once I am familiar with it like I am with 920. The 520 is just a "test" WP8 device for me as I got it real cheap. 50$. Just the cell phone. Not even the charger lol.
iPhone 4S is already tasting the dust in my drawers. Note II, I use it like 2-3 times a week and even take it as a primary phone sometimes a week because of the awesome functions of the pen. I got over 3 sim cards.
I am more of a phone collector than a user. Anything else you would like to know?
