@topic, ever wondered why the value of Samsung phones drop easily? because they flood the market with different versions that's almost the same! I can see why old version of iphones like 4s and 5 are still priced high.. if you know what i mean. Even the resell value will drop if Samsung continues to flood the market..

How exactly S3 lte sucks? Because I have mine for over 7 months and I am totally satisfied by the phone, and next to the s3 is way more lag-free due to the ram and faster due to the lte (I friend of mine have a S3 and we tested them).
Samsung software is indeed ugly (look at the email, sms and contacts apps for example) and a little slow. But I disable all the crap that I don't need (all the S-something apps) and I use playstore apps for my mail, sms and contacts and now the phone is snappy as hell, beautiful and with great battery life.
My only complain is that I still have android 4.1.2.

Poor development coming up.
Too close to the original S4, so we will now see a replica of the galaxy s3 LTE phone which sunk so badly that there is a special place in XDA hell for it.

i hate such variants. samsung makes over 9000 varients and later when it comes to updates they just either delay or never give updates to some varient

Nope that stopped at ICS. At 4.1.2/JZO54K upwards (for GT-I9100G non-Exynos/TI OMAP 4430 at least) stock firmware are riddled w/ serious bugs such as SoD (sleep of death) among other things while having put out kernel sources that seemingly worsen the condition more than what it's supposed to fix. This is on top of thirstier batt drain reported even by GT-I9100 Exynos variant users themselves.
The newer TouchWiz + S components adds too much bulk and heavy compromises. Consider that a typical stock firmware .tar file can easily hit between 700-900mb while say a custom AOSP based .zip hovers just at 150-170mb file size. This speaks volumes.

Even Htc has things sorted out with Sense 5 as Sense 4 interface is laggy and why not Samsung. I'm not against Samsung but right now feeling very disappointed on 4.3 update for S3 and S4 especially from a Company which has excellent reputation for providing regular bugfree updates like they did to S2.
