          1. Power key making noise whiling shaking the phone.
          2. Speaker aren't producing that much sound as they should.

          Can you advise on this.

I switch off mobile data when there is a wifi network available. I switch on GPS only when I need it.
              It is very simple in Android 4.4, - just slide down status bar to open Quick Settings and push on tiles. It is very easy and takes just a few seconds to enable or disable a service. The result is superior standby time.

From a summary of the posts, people get about 10-14 hours with 2-3 hours of screen time on average. Less screen time, more standby time. Also, people who are on wifi a lot, will also increase their standby time.

Again, their tests DOES NOT include any standby time. Their tests are from a full charge, running a script that keeps the phone running whatever until it's dead. NO ONE DOES THIS in the real world.

                            Than is in the contract between OEMs and Google. Otherwise they will not produce Nexus. They earn almost nothing from making Nexus, and that's why wanna sell their own flagships too.

Other than their Nexus phones and the original Optimus G, LG makes some pretty ugly shit. The fact that the Nexus 5 looks like the Nexus 7 clearly indicates that Google has input.

                                  Google saves on battery - non changeable, smaller battery saves some manufacturing costs.
                                  SD card support are patent protected and includes licence costs (event to Microsoft as most SD cards use FAT file system). And Google wants to promote their Google Drive service instead of storing data on device.

Yes, the display is eating the battery, but it's expected from Full HD IPS display. However there are no problems with standby time. I easily get 7-8 days of standby time with moderate calling and rare internet usage.

                                    Just make a practical test. Switch off all services (Wifi, Mobile data, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, Android Beam). Switch the service on only when you need it. You will be surprised with Nexus 5 standby time.

                                    If you still get bad standby time, you probably got a bad application installed which forces the phone to wake up from standby.

                                      I have always bought Nexus devices except for the Nexus S, but as much as i like the Nexus 5, i have been dragging my feet on purchasing one mainly due to the battery. I am hoping that the rumored LG D830 device will be a beefed up Nexus 5 with a 3000+man battery. If not i am afraid as much as i may like and want the N5...will be forced to pass on a very good phone and grab a GPe device in 2014(maybe HTC M8 or Samsung GS5 GPe). My Question to all other Android OEMs is...if Samsung can make flagship devices with removable batteries and SD card slots and they work just fine, WHY CAN'T THEY DO THE SAME??? What is with all the rationing in storage capacity and not enuf battery capacity..give us options for more, many of us are willing to pay more in the case of the Nexus 5.
