Oncom, 21 Dec 2013The subject should change from WP to Lumia. Without Nokia, ... moreNot everyone is like that.. owned WP since 2010 and since Nokia is the sole premium developer of WP mobile phones I have no choice but buy their product. The Dell Venue Pro with WP7 is still the best looking phone for me, now this Lumia 1020 is by far the best "featurewise" I've owned. I would never buy an Apple device.

If Microsoft give out WP8 for free like Google doing with Android, it would gain marketshare very fast with all the OEMs making phones for it.

The subject should change from WP to Lumia. Without Nokia, WP market share could be at minimum. People buy Lumia because they respect Nokia, not because of WP inside. They don't care what is inside, all they know is they buy a Nokia/Lumia.

WP is the best operating system much better then android lagy Java-based. 2 things that Microsoft needs to improve: app store and change marketing strategy, make money from ads, applications and give software for free this action will make devices cheaper.

                                    Isn't that a huge loss?

yeah, 20 Dec 2013please remember that Apple is only selling 3 iPhones at the... moreYep!
                                        6 Apple devices.
                                        8 Windows Phone 8 devices(520, 620, 625, 720, 820, 920, 925, 1020)
And the rest of thousands of devices are Android from 40$ to 4000$.

The question is why I haven't included Lumia 525, 1320, 1520, 2520 in the 8 Windows Phone 8 devices is because this report is for November and these devices(excluding 525 which is only available in 2-3 countries till now) are announced in October and made available in the end of November in some countries. Therefore, only 8 Windows Phone 8 devices will be counted. One more question will be asked about why no HTC or Samsung or Huwaei WP8? It's simple. Nokia is the leader in Windows Phone 8 with 90% of market shares in Windows Phone8. Comparing their world wide shares, I don't think that 10% of devices which also include former Lumia flagships i.e 800, 900 are countable in the success of Windows Phone 8.
