this is cheap low level of its species, it has quadcore and 8mp. in luxury phone world spec goes backward more obsolete the spec more luxury the phone

thanks i just ordered mine, will be using it as my daily driver, and keep my baby nexus 5 in a glass case.

Interesting to note that the phones with the most polish and sparkle are the easiest to scratch, (iPhone 5s, this phone etc), whilst plasticy low end phones (and all Galaxy models - I have a Note 3) are pretty bullet proof. (Dropped mine twice onto hard tiles and no damage at all.)

Highly durable phone but with outdated specs. If someone is going to spend more than $1500 on a phone, he/she would definitely want latest specs available on the market.

Sure, "luxury phone". You put a Volkswagen bug engine in a Mercedes Benz. So that equates to what exactly? A glorified titanium brick? I wonder what they would consider the Sony Z1? Pure opulent extravagance? Stop it "Greasso". There's already proven ways to waste money, like burning it or flushing it down the toilet.

they had already weight up the weight of more expensive design cover, but why cant they made it at least mid range not to mention top range spec, it is always equip with the low range spec. why, why I wonder.

Older JB? 1.2ghz most likely cortex-a7? Ram not mentioned? 8mp and over 12mm thick????

Extremely expensive phone with great looks...... but with low-midrange specs. Except for storage, the Moto G has equal specs. Also, please stop it with the useless menu button, put the multitask button.
